Its quite nice, has a great restaurant and nice big swimming pool. The rooms are very basic but are furnished in a traditional mexican way. Its right in the middle of all the action but still there is no noise at night. Very good location,I would probably come back.

I was extremely impressed with the service @ the restaurant, however, the front desk staff was NOT helpful, and added absolutely INCORRECT charges to our bill at checkout. We were charged for "dirty, stained sheets @ checkout from a room that was definitely NOT ours, as well as the "stains" were obviously mildew staines from before. And it wasn't cheap...1000 pesos!

Top Local Tips for Cancun

Car Rental Do not book your car online through Orbitz for a Hertz vehicle. This is what we did and no where in any of our documentation did it say that they would give away the car if we arrived more than 2 hours late. As our flight was delayed, the compact car that we booked for $163 US for 9 days was apparently given away. To attempt to assist us, the rental agent at the Hertz counter at the airport offered us a lesser vehicle (an economy car) for $400 US if we were to buy additional insurance from him. What a scam!!!!! I'll email Orbitz and Hertz to complain.

cancun - pretty dirty, not so cultural, very touristy I would not stay in Cancun again. the Caribbean is beautiful and the people of Mexico are kind and friendly; but Cancun is not. It is a tourist trap gone bad. IT was designed in poor taste and it is dirty and reminds me of Vegas in a way, but not nearly as nice. If you do come to Cancun stay at a very nice hotel and only leave when you go to ruins or zip tours.

change your money while everyone in Mexico accepts euros and US dollars, they don't give you change and they do the conversion at a "rounded" rate which has you paying more for you items/meals than if you had just converted. If you insist on keeping your currency travel with small denominations. The best bet if you want change in dollars or euros is with the street vendors.
