Great Place to Stay!!
I have stayed at the Barcelo 2 times--once with my teenagers and the second with my husband. Neither time were we disappointed! When I read the review from the woman that thought everything was so terrible, I thought she surely was talking about a different place! My husband is extremely picky and the only food in Mexico he actually enjoys is from the Barcelo--we have always been pleased with all the food at this resort. Also, try the Sangria at the Spanish restaurant--you will love it! Pools are clean and well kept--the beach area is not as extensive now as it was in May 06, but adequate just the same. Never a shortage of lounging chairs. Staff has always been courteous and friendly and gone out of their way to assist us. Another plus is the mall right across the street from the resort--just walk over and have a shoppers delight!! Easy to get around with the busses...cheap and quick to downtown. Faultless service
We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Barcelo Tucancun and we cannot rate the place enough. From the minute we checked in we were welcomed by friendly and eager to please staff. The cleanliness was second to none and the food was varied and delicious (always fresh!). We evntured out of the hotel a few times on various excursions, which were amazing, but the facilities in the hotel were more than enough to keep us amused. The cocktails in the lobby bar was fantastic and we met so many people from all over the world. It really was an amazing experience and we are already thinking of planning our next visit to the Barcelo Tucancun the the near future!

It was so good!
We stayed there in september through to october and it was the best experience i have ever had! I loved the staff especially Roberto and Angel! They were so much help and i didnt want to leave them. The staff are fun to be with and the entertainment staff put on shows everey night which are excellent! The swimming pools are excellent and the beach is well organised because of the coloured flags. I advise you if you are staying in Cancun to stay at Tucancun beach resort because it is the best hotel ever.

Wonderful Vacation
Really wonderful experience. Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. Super ocean view from room. Room was clean and staff was very friendly. Authentic Mexican cuisine was delicious and drinks were great. Beach is excellent and pools (3) were large and clean. Spa was great too. Very close to great shopping. Loved it. Going back next month for 2nd Honeymoon!
