We stayed at the Hotel Finisterra for our honeymoon in September of 2002. We found that it was one of the nicest places to stay in Cabo. The swimming pools were beautiful and the view of the ocean is undescribable. The staff there was very friendly and they had great ideas for recreational activies that we could participate in. We would recommend the horseback riding on the beach and the personal massage. Oh, and happy hour at the pool everyday from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. for 2 for 1 drink specials. We are dreaming of the day that we will be able to get away and go back to PARADISE.

Top Local Tips for Cabo San Lucas

The Office This was one of the fun restaurants we ate at so I wanted to share. You can walk here from the Hotel Finisterra (this is a longer walk so wear comfy shoes!). It's along the beach and the tables and chairs are set up right in the sand--a stone's throw from the Ocean. If you sit right up front (closest to the Ocean)--vendors will come up every couple of minutes and try to sell you something. But if you sit towards the middle (closer to the restaurant) and can enjoy the views and not be bothered as much!

Eating Out Go to the restaurants where you see a lot of people. Make reservations for some of the more popular places that you read about on TripAdvisor. Just relax, try a little of everything, and enjoy!

Getting a rental car Getting a rental car affords you the opportunity to get around, go to the local markets, and get to and from the airport. The airport transfer costs are relatively high so it almost make is nonsensical not to get a rental car. However, be aware that Mexico has very strict rules on car insurance and at least investigate it before going.
