This hotel is not for those who expect luxurious accommodations or someone waiting on them hand and foot. If you want an nice hotel that offers an all-inclusive option at a reasonable price, the Calinda is for you. I found the food to be very tasty and no illness ensued. The views are incredible as the hotel itself is located on a cliff above the ocean. There is a private beach you can walk down to, which means there are no vendors bothering you every time you step on the beach. This sort of bothersome activity happens at many of the hotels, including those that cost a whole lot more. The fridge is stocked daily with a couple domestic beers, sodas and water. The room was clean and large with a small balcony. The beds are on the hard side though. Shuttle service is available to Cabo when you want to enjoy some nightlife, or just go into town for some shopping. I would definitely return to the Calinda and hope to be able to do so soon!

The views are amazing and the rooms are not bad...but DO NOT EAT THE FOOD!!! I went to the Calinda for my sr. spring break of college and out of 120 kid there 50 ended up SICK!!! Like 3 days laying in the bed. The hotel was nice and the pools were ok. But if i had to do it all over agagin i would be closer to the city and main beach! Either way cabo was AWESOME and i will be returning.

Top Local Tips for Cabo San Lucas

Sheap Food In front of Puerto Paraiso Mall, can find a restaurant Called Los Ajos, is a Buffet Restaurant where you can eat by $10 USD (99 Pesos) x PX. I hope this can be useful for some one.

Odds and Ends I will try to think of some random helpful things: Be prepared for the merchants they are persistent. Always talk them down or you'll be labeled a sucker :) I've heard NEVER rent a jet ski. Serious accidents. Be careful of the jellyfish, keep some vinegar on hand (they're not that bad). I am a serious shopper so I look at everything and on my way BACK buy the things I priced out in my head. Stuff gets heavy if you buy it right off the bat and trust me, it'll still be there. Don't linger to long looking (unless you're really interested in buying) or you will get hassled. Cabo is beautiful and it is touristy, so you can feel pretty safe in the day time as far as I know. They don't want to scare the locals away right? All in all just stay w/ a couple people or w/ a loved one and it should be fine :)
