Top Local Tips for Acapulco
Sunset boat trip Be sure to have Benjamin Alarcon or Roberto Alarcon of the Yellow cabs take you. This was very special to us. The cost was only $22.00 American. We were on the boat for about 3 hours. The drinks were free. It was just beautiful. Well worth the money.
Roberto Alarcon is the way to go! Hire Roberto before you go- only a matter of contacting him via email and letting him know your arrival time. It was such peace of mind to know he would take care of us, and you don't have to worry at the airport about the ten million drivers talking to you. He was also very safe, and had very nice cars to ride in, and believe me, they don't drive there like they do here! You want someone to drive you, and better when you feel like you know them and they are safe! He was very reasonable, inexpensive really when I think about all he did for us. City tour for almost 7 hours including dinner reservations and cliff diver for $90!
The Yellow cab drivers - Benjamin and Roberto These guys are really wonderful. They will pick you up at the airport and take you to the resort. They are great for private tours - so you arn't suck in a bus with people that are interested in things that you are not. The prices are fair and less than the resort or Blue cabs charge. You can trust them. They will take the best care of you and your family. I would never rent a car and drive myself. The downtown area is very busy with much traffic. I prefer to let the guys that drive there all the time take us.
