Our Spanish Class took a trip to Mexico via Interact Travel and stayed at the Maris Hotel in Acapulco. This hotel does not have the amenities of larger resorts but has a helpful, friendly staff. The rooms are by no means lavishly decorated but all have nice views of the ocean. If you want a thrifty vacation this is a good choice because you get fine service and a good price. One tip of advice: the beach is dirty and if you walk out on the beach walk up towards the nicer resorts and use their beaches and pools because they are cleaner.
