Top Local Tips for Acapulco
Airport in Acapulco Beware of people at the airport who say that they are from the hotel that you are staying at. These people are actually from the new Mayan Resourt which is a time share located in Acapulco. These people are standing right outside of Customs/Immigration by the place where you would purchase your ticket for a SECUIRE taxi to your hotel. These people promise to pay for your taxi which costs about $40.00 depending on what area of the town you are staying at. Then they advise you that they can give you tickets to any attraction at you want (Snorkling, Boat tours, cliff divers, Swimming with the Dolphins, Etc..) and all you have to do is go with them the next day for a 90 minute tour of the Mayan Resourt. Once they get your name, hotel location, ect... they ask you for a deposit which in our case was $30.00. We where given a recept and told that they would pick us up the next day at 8am. Well they never showed up. Please do not fall into this trap. Buy your ticket at the Taxi ticket countr
