Vacationer Beware!

The trip itself was great and I had a wonderful time. My frustration comes with the last day I was there. I was to check out at 12 so we packed early and I made sure that my cell phone was in my carry on bag and then I zipped it up and slung it on my shoulder. The bag stayed there during the entire check out. The front desk then informed us that we did not have a courtesy room but that we could leave out stuff with the bell hops and that it would be perfectly safe. During the time it was there, my cell phone was stolen. I have tried everything and the hotel is denying that their staff took it. I have even called them four times since I have been back and nothing is being done about it. Needless to say I am out a $200 phone. So please beware! DO NOT TRUST THEIR STAFF! This is all I can do now is warn everyone who travels there. Oddly enough, they took the cell phone (it was small and compact) the portable DVD player was left behind!

Best Nightlife ever, pool was packed with partiers all the time. Food was OK, kinda repetitive but who really cares. I will keep going back on spring break. If you’re not a spring breaker, you will not have fun.

THE WORST PLACE EVER-I don't need to say anymore, just keep looking for a better hotel, it is more like an entrapment because you were so robbed of your money than a vacation. Run, keep looking, there is no excuse for such a place.

The worst hotel on the planet.

I went with 58 friends from Austin, TX expecting a 4 star hotel. I would give this hotel 1/2 star. I lost 12 lbs because the food was so bad. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. For future reference, they allow locals & their 30 kids per family to come & swim at the pool. Sorry for those that have stayed here before but, this hotel sucked badly!! When making the reservation, we were told that it was a 4 star hotel. Maybe by the locals who are used to living on the sidewalk & peeing in the street.

This is the worst hotel on the planet. It is not a five star hotel in the least. When we arrived, after the check-in time of 3pm, we were told that there were no rooms available for us. Then we were told that we could pay $100 extra for a suite. Upon arriving to our "suite", we realized that it was extremely hot, so we called to have our leaking AC checked. While waiting to have it checked, we went to a friends' room, only to find out that ours was nothing like theirs that they paid the extra $100 for(ie. bigger, better view, living area, cool AC, etc.). We then went for dinner at the "all inclusive buffett" where we found pizza, butter-laydened pasta, and chicken, parts of which I choose never to see again. This continued throughout our stay with a few variances. The fruit however was quite good. On to the drinks: All inclusive from 10a-10p, and only at certain bars. Also not everyone at the hotel has to purchase that package. People from off the street were walking into our hotel(no one stopped them) and made a day/weekend of it at the pool. We didn't even get to use the pool, nor did we want to becuase it reeked of urine. By day two, we had our AC looked at again, and by the third, and only by causing a ruckus, we were moved to another, cooler, but still not quite like our friends', room. All in all this was the worst experience I have ever had on vacation, only saved by the superior nightlife, and the fact that I was with quite a few of my very fabulous friends. I doubt I will ever visit Acapulco again. There are too many other beautiful places in the world.

I was one of 58 from Austin, TX...the hotel was terrible! From 3 slow elevators (note: you will be waiting in excess of half hour sometimes), to horrible service (don't ask to get anything fixed..broken lights, sockets, etc.), I lost weight from lack of food b/c the food served was disgusting and it's the SAME thing every meal (only redemption is breakfast..which was still the same every day), the beach is nasty and full of pushy vendors, the pool was about the size of my hotel room with about 300 people in it and had the color and odor of urine all the time (no regulation of use). I have stayed at some pretty shady hotels thanks to my family's budget, but I would give the Econo Lodge in Arkansas a better rating than this "All-Inclusive resort hotel."

I planned a trip for my b-day celebration with 60 of my closest friends to Acapulco and chose hotel copacobana because a hotel review site said it was a 4 star hotel and it offered an all inclusive package I could not refuse. I regret it. when we arrived the front desk people could not speak english AT ALL, 40% of our rooms were not ready and the ones that were.. about 30% of those were still dirty. The elevators were broken and the ones that worked took 15 minutes to come to you and the air conditioning throughout the hotel was terrible. It was like sitting ina sauna in my room. There was only 1 open bar which closed at 10 and the alcohol and tequilla was super cheap and gross and the food was worse. The breakfast was the only thing we looked forward to but other than that, they served the same tasteless food everday, white rice, pizza, pasta w/ ham??!! We're in Mexico!! The hotel was also completely taken over with by locals who brought in beer coolers, packing the pool (which smelled of urine), children every where making us feel like the "all-inclusive" package we purchased to enjoy our time at this venue was a waste of time and money! All of my 60 guests we're uncomfortable and i am very very dissapointed that the hotel was given a score higher than a 1 because I would have NEVER booked a vacation there. I would not recommend this hotel for group bookings, individual bookings, as a vcacation for an elderly nor a young couple. STAY AWAY!!!
