We arrived in Acapulco w/no reservations and went to the Club del Sol first which was a dump. The cab driver suggested Aladino's and we had low expectations when we arrived. That changed quickly when we saw the room, on the tenth floor, views from hilltop and oceanfront where amazing. Room was clean, furniture a bit worn and dirty but didn't bother us. The room was suite style so the bed was enclosed in a separate room. The location is great, you only walk a couple blocks to the beach and costera, restaurants, etc. If you like a good value and don't mind a no frills hotel this is for you.

This was not a very comfortable stay. The beds are harder than hell and the hotel was so noisy it was hard to sleep. It was hot and humid, and every time we left the room for a short period, the staff came in the room and shut off the air conditioning. The hotel is not very close to the beach as their information says. We stayed in an annex, on the fourth floor. There was no elevator. They did have a nice cafe, and the front desk was able to change dollars into pesos. I would not recommend this hotel.
