the museum in town../WILDLIFE PRESERVE WONDERFUL/TORSTEN FROM AURORA BOREALIS .. worth the looking, and the stuffed animals below...wonderful....berringia was great...

Plan more time for the Beringia Centre than you'd expect It's not that large of a place, but the Beringia Centre (museum) is packed with so much information and very good displays. I live in Alaska and this blew out of the water my school-learning about what the history of our arctic places has been. There are stunning and convincing new theories about what has happened in climate, with animal populations, how and where people went and lived. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I went to see it in 30 minutes I had between other activities and had to race around and soak up as much as I could. I thought, how much could there be, from the smallish buiding, but I wished I had had a couple of hours.

Klondike Rib and Salmon Great place to have dinner. Within walking distance of hotel. Great ribs and the best bumbleberry pie I have ever eaten in my life.
