This was the perfect spot for our trip to Cape Breton from Ontario as it brought us halfway home the first day of the trip. The room was all that we needed and more. Sitting on the front porch outside our room in the evening was perfect looking out over the water. The rooms were very clean and relaxing. The rates were excellent for that time of the year. We liked it so much we booked again on our way back to Ontario...Don & Linda. PS..I did forget my pillow which I usually travel with so I hope I can pick it up next year. Thanks....

I chose this spot because it looked nice on the website, and was CAA rated. I was overjoyed that I did, because it is-- by far-- the cheapest accomodation (that didn't look divey) in the whole town, by about 30 bucks. It is a smaller, family-run in-town motel, overlooking the St. Lawrence river. My room (# 2) was large, with a queen bed, mini-fridge, ceiling fan, and air conditioner. It was very quiet, and immaculately clean... I felt like I was the first person ever to stay in it. It appeared to have been recently refurbished; the carpet was spotless, and smelled very new. The bathroom was well-lighted, and had amenities normally associated with 5 star urban hotesl (plush towels, handmade soaps and toiletries, etc). I highly suggest this motel, if you're not planning on staying longer than 3 nights, as it has everything a short stay would require, at bargain rates. The people seem very hospitable. They serve a continental breakfast, although I took off earlier than the start of it, so I can't comment on its quality (if the rest of the experience is any indication, I would bet it's very good though). STAY HERE!!
