Perfect for the Carnival

The Delta Quebec is perfectly located for a visit to the Quebec Winter Carnival. It is a short walk to everything and the closing parade goes right in front of the hotel doors. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and did not press for a tip. The valet parking was good, but expect to wait a few minutes for your car. I recomend spending a few extra dollars to upgrade your room. The upgraded room was HUGE with a beautiful view of the lower city. The Delta is directly next to the Hilton with a mall and restaurants located below ground between the 2 hotels.

My husband and I stayed at the Delta Quebec for 3 nights in October, 2004. We found the staff very helpful. The room we first were given had a Queen sized bed. We had requested 2 double beds. Called down to the Registration and in no time at all we were given a lovely room, as requested.
I would recommend the Delta to anyone traveling to Quebec City area. Very nice place to stay. Only minutes from the Walled City.

Stayed here in July. It is a perfectly fine hotel of this type, could be anywhere in the world, though in a rather ugly concrete tower - at least it is easy to find your way home as you can see the hotel in the distance :) Bit pricey, especially things like parking...

Appreciated the upgrade

We spent three nights at the Delta during our swing through Canada in August and were quite pleased. We arrived late (after midnight) with out two kids asleep in the car, and were told that there were no more rooms with two doubles available. As our 5 year old twins are active sleepers, the family bed was not an option. After explaining our need, we were upgraded to a larger business class room that accommodated two roll-aways for the boys. This room was very satisfactory, and we enjoyed the free buffet breakfast and internet access on the business floors. The location was also good, as we enjoyed the brief walk into town every day. We would certainly stay there again.

We traveled to Quebec in July/Aug of 2004. Researched hotels for best value. I was very disappointed with the Delta Quebec. All that it represented in pictures and words was overstated. First impression upon driving to the entrance was that it was decent, however, at first sight of the room and my disappointment could be seen a mile away. The view of the top of the neighboring buildings was just horrible. The room was somewhat unattractive and not very comfortable. If I had to find one positive it would have to be bathroom (which was somewhat roomy). I found the breakfast buffet to be expensive. The hotel itself wasn't easy to get-around (confusing). The staff was only helpful when you had cash in hand. I would not return.

We stayed at the Delta for 5 nights in late July.
The rooms are large and very comfortable.
The hotel is close to the Old Cityand other main areas like Grande Alley(good food).
The location and staff are great, would recommend this hotel.

Great Value and Location

This hotel is very close to the walls of Old Quebec and the Plains of Abraham- 5 minute walk maximum. It is right next to the Quebec Parliament and one block away from the popular street Grand Allee. The hotel service was great also. We chose the 'family fun' package which gave us free parking (and in and out privilages) and free buffet breakfast, which was great (eggs, pastries, cereal, fruits, bacon).

Great Hotel and City!!!

The Delta Hotel was fantastic. I just got back from a two night stay and the hotel and city exceeded my expectations. When we first arrived our room was not ready so the front desk receptionist upgraded us to the signature club which is on the top floor. Not only did we get a great room and view but we got free internet and breakfast. The staff and service was excellent and they really make their guests feel welcome. We had called the front desk to find out about tours and events around the city and they were extremely helpful. The continental breakfast was also great and plentiful. Overall the hotel is great and only an 8 minute walk from Old Quebec city. There are plenty of things to do there. I will definitely return to the city and to the Delta Hotel!

Bad experience at Delta Quebec

On a very recent trip to DeltaQuebec my laptop computer was not secured in my baggage by the hotel bell service and never made it to my room. I must presume it was stolen. The hotel did not particularly care about my plight or show much interest.

I found our stay a most unpleasant affair and will never again stay at any Delta Hotel. THe total lack of professionalism was the worse I have ever experienced.

Loved the hotel

We spent 2 nights at Delta in Mid June. I loved the hotel. It is definately 4 stars, notch above regular Holiday and Comfort Inns in my opinion. We paid $120 per night including parking. Location is excellent. It is located on a really wide streel right near Hilton. 8-10 mins walk to the Old city. There are some restaurants even closer which are excellent and not expensive. Rooms are great, not small. The only thing is that cabinets in rooms were kind of old, but i did not care. Careful with bar in your room , it is really expensive. The View was good. The hotel also has sauna and an open pool which are great even weather was not really hot. I would definately stay there again.

Top Local Tips for Quebec City

Italian Restaurants If you're looking for an Italian restaurant offering a pleasant atmosphere choose the Restaurant/Cafe d'Europe. The table d'hote menu offers good value for money, the quality of the food was great and service was attentive and did not make you feel like you were about to be rushed out of the restaurant in order for them to fit more covers in. Rustic bread and tapernade was brilliant. Well worth a short detour off the major streets.

Whale watching From the hotel you can make reservations for an excursion to go whale watching in Baie Sainte-Catherine. The attraction takes an entire day (8.30-19.15) and you can choose to go by tourboat or zodiac. They say that the zodiacs can act faster and thereby getting closer to the whales but the day I did the trip, there was a lot of wind, and the zodiacs had to return earlier.

Park and walk if possible We parked and walked everywhere in the city. This is a crazy city to drive in. Nothing is more than a 15 minute walk and a great way to soak up the beauty and the history of the old town.
