Not a bad place at all. It's an old motel, so don't expect the rooms to look like a day's inn. But if you just need a relaxed place to sleep it's fine. Pro: nice pool outside small continental breakfast clean nice staff Your own parking spot right outside the room. wireless high speed internet, a/c and cable. Cons: Building is very old, water pressure in shower is not that strong, right on the highway so not much of a view unless you like looking at traffic. Overall, pretty good place if you aren't too picky and need a compfortble.

I always stay here when in Montreal. If you have a vehicle, right off free-way, it's like a cheap motel at Disneyland, but your 15 minutes from downtown. Very affordable, old but clean. Great place to just crash, and then go experience the city. Lots of restaurants near by, and Lachine nice walk, water canal, boats etc...

Woke Up Covered In Ants

I stayed at motel Raphael for two nights when I returned from overseas. It was located in Montréal west beside Ville Saint Pierre. It looked okay from the outside; most motels in the area are ghetto so I thought maybe I'd get lucky if I stayed here. Price is very cheap. I woke up covered in ants, I had to buy gold bond meditative powder and it still itched. I can't believe this place is allowed to be in business. The worst place I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at many. Do not go there. Alex from Canada

We booked thru phone for a night stay on a holiday. Attendant gave us a peak-season price of $125 for a 2-bed non-smoking room. When a friend booked a similar room hours later, he was given a different price of $115. When we confronted upon check-in, the front desk adjusted our price. The room we got was supposedly non-smoking but it's reeking of smoke. The washroom, though may be tidy, doesnt look clean and washroom door doesn't fit the door frame! it, as well as the cabinets are not geometrically aligned with the ceiling and floors and looked very awkward (the building straddles a sloping terrain). My other friend on the other hand had to be assigned another room as the room he booked on the phone is no longer available. They got a two-bed room, designated non-smoking but smells smoking too. Consider other motels if you have an option.

Its a great motel for the money

I have stayed there alot of times. I live in the country and when I come into Montreal for a visit, I always stay there. I usually ask for room 1 or 2 as they have two beds abd a suite in there. It has an outdoor pool and the place is really quite nice for the buck. You can check in anytime of night so that isn't a problem, the only problem I seem to have is the infrequency of the rates. It seems to go up everytime I go there. Usually around 60-80/night. Great deal considering Montreal Hotel prices.What I like is that it's not in a "rough" neighbourhood, so safety is not an issue for you out of town travellers to the big city. Montreal is actually pretty safe but you have to be careful anytime travelling.
