Two words: Bed bugs!

If waking up with oozing red welts on your face and neck is your idea of a great time, then by all means, book here. I would think twice otherwise.

I was there for the august long weekend and it was one of the few places that were still available....surprisingly, since the location is pretty ideal. Of course, now I know why. In any case, I woke to find an enormous bed bug on my pillow, then when I threw off the covers, they were everywhere....a colony behind the head board. When I called for the manager to come up, nobody came. When I went downstairs to tell them of their bed bug problem, they played dumb. Finally I demanded to get the owner on the telephone who acted like a total ass.

Needless to say, I had to find another hotel. I wouldn't be surprised if they rented out the room after I left.

Do not book here, I implore you! I will take pictures of the nasty bites on my face and neck if I have to....they are disgusting.

Finding a hotel in Montreal for the Grand Prix is normally very difficult and extremely expensive. After over- spending many years for questionable rooms we stumbled on this hotel. All I can say is we were very pleased and had a great experience. While the room was rather small it had a nice bath and the staff we very friendly. Location is perfect for the Metro which is all one needs to explore the whole city.

We booked a room with 2 double beds for our little family. The room was clean and staff very helpfull, specialy Eddy who offered us a free long distance call to Alberta. I could access Internet freely (with my laptop). Breakfast was simple but very welcome to start a good day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My girl friend and I stayed at Hotel De L'Elysee from August 4-8. The room was very clean,and had a nice bathroom. Great location, and the staff were very friendly.
I would recommend this hotel.

Last night, I wrote a review for this hotel that was very harsh because the person with whom we interacted provided us with horrible customer service. It was very frustrating. This morning, I called the hotel again and talked to a very helpful person who very graciously cleared up all the problems. He was professional and courteous. Given this service, I'd like to revise our previous rating. I've seen other ratings on this hotel, and they are all high. We have not stayed there, so we cannot say. But, I would hate to have the incompetence of one employee affect the ratings for this hotel.

Stayed at Hotel de l'Elysee in june after a busy business trip. I wanted to have a nice hotel to rest and to visit some interesting places in Montreal. Location is great, no need to have a car subway station is at few foot steps. My room was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful, polite and friendly. Highly Recommend this hotel.

They lied to us!!

We made a reservation one evening and called the next day to change it from 3 to 2 days. They told us we could not do that because it was Memorial Day weekend, and there was a minimum stay of 3 nights. If we wanted to cancel the 3 nights we could. We said we would call back. We called back 10 minutes later to cancel the 3 nights and talked to another person who would not allow us to cancel, despite what their other representative told us. When we told them we were not happy, they hung up on us. The customer service was AWFUL, and we are very forgiving travelers. I would strongly recommend against this place.

Hotels or Motels on St Hubert Street If you are going to stay in one of these hotel/ motels ask to see the room first.... spend 5 mins ther ein the dark,,,, then pull back the sheet and turn on the light to see if there are bed bugs on the matress seams.
