I wanna say thanks to the staff at Montreal Centrale for there wonderful service and there help and kindness. You made us feel like we were at home there. We loved our room (210) and you gave us everything we needed. Ice, maps, remotes, drinks, hairdryer and an iron. We feel like we made new friends there! Thanks again, Love, Gia and Sam

Stayed here for the Grand Prix in June. We had a great time and the location was the best (right by the subway station- one stop from Parc Jean Drapeau). The staff was very helpful in telling us where everything was. Will definitely go back for next year's GP!

Dirty and expensive hotel. We payed (before seing the room) more than 100 CN$ for a cowshed: a micro-room in the underground, without window and cupboard. We found hair in the sheets of our bed, and the sheeds were dirty too; we found hair also in the shower. DON'T GO THERE and write to the Montreal tourist information to inform them about the situation of this horrible hotel. No more people have to go there.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP

First of all, guy on the phone gave rate of 98.00. Got to the place and you have to pay for the room before seeing it. What a disaster! No refunds after being in the hotel for 3 minutes. Argumentative staff. Stayed at holiday inn express in Centreville for 109.00. I'd give Holiday Inn 9/10 compared to Auberge Montreal Centrale. It cost me two accommodations for one night since the fraud artists at Auberge Montreal would not credit my bill. Auberge Montreal Central gives the Montreal tourism industry egg on its face. I'd close that place down if I could.

We visited Montreal on March 29 to April 2 and feel lucky to have ended up at this hotel. The staff were kind and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and cozy. The price was reasonable for what was offered... clean comfortable room, free parking, great reception sitting area, cable tv with free movies and a continental breakfast! (The croissants were my favorite especially on the morning when they came straight out of the oven Mmmmmm!!!

Best on the street!

After checking out other hotels on the block, this was by far the best. It looks newer than the others and I was told it was very recently renovated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we asked for directions they quickly printed a color map for us and showed us the way! Our room was beautiful and spacious (we had a jucuzzi suite), but from the pictures at the front desk, even the standard rooms are very nice. The neighbourhood was very "colorful" with interesting characters especially at night but we never felt like it was dangerous. We are going back this summer!

The worst hotel ever.... the room were very overpriced... and i mean very...the stuff they sell on the promise is pricey and stale. lots of shady peaples and bizeness going on in there... bad staffs who did nothing to facilitate our stay. after a night we went to the other side of the street to a nice little place called bon acceuil. Go there instead of this auberge montreal centrale....

Fleabag Dump!

The staff evaded thef act the property was under renovation. I rented out a room, at an unbelievably overblown rate, with a hole in the wall to the outside. The furniture was outdated and pockmarked with cigarette burns. The 'linens' were not ironed and did not look very clean. The towels were dark grey and frayed at the edges. The bedspread looked greasy. And the room was as small as a broom closet. If a traveller gets stuck with a hole of a motel or hotel, just do one thing: demand your money back. And never return. The best advice in not getting burned, and getting a reasonable night' stay is to start with a four star property and look for room sales. In a pinch, go with the three stars, but NEVER a two star or less. It's guaranteed to be a real cesspool. Happy travels.
