Asking $150 plus tax per night which was worth it in 2000-2005 when there was Spa, gastronomy and serious upkeep. Now, we got room 16, where it says $100 fine if you open the door (only fire escape possible). No air circulation on a day where it is 80 outside. Drenched in humidity. 50 watt bulb over the bed was only lighting for third guest (yuk). Mildew in shower. Not allowed to cancel even for health resaon and even more than one day ahead of arrival. And they charge $300 avdvance fee on credit card ( for their safeguard if you run away with their soap). This is clearly the case where no money is invested in upgrading since 2005. Only plus: clean bed and linen in a 1950 old and depressing room with ancestral TV.

Top Local Tips for Magog

Orford Musical Camp Beautiful scenery and lots of outdoor activities to do (golf, camping, Monastery, musical camp, skiing,lakes , Provincial Park, etc etc) but lots of fake grandeur when it comes to lodging. Internet adds most deceitful when it comes to selecting a spa. In three years, unable to find a place which would rank higher than a Super8 motel. I recommend weekend "packages" that include gastronomy: the best places are those offering total inclusive packages. Make sure the place has been built in the last ten years, or, a heritage building of the late 1800's, as those are the best refit buildings.

Wonerful food, delightful hosts The dining room at the Auberge d'4 Saisons in Orford...Food is spectacular, service wonderful, hosts are truly excited about welcoming guests and sharing their love for their food. It's a beautiful area, well worth the excursion.
