I don't know where Mike from Canada stayed, but it couldn't have been here! Whereas the rooms are sufficient for a budget hotel (I have stayed in many) the tavern IS a great problem. We had noise continually! There is also train tracks behind the motel and the train DOES use it several times during the night (blowing it's whistle right there!) There is an entrance to the roof of the tavern and there was EXTREMELY loud partying going on there until 3:30 at night until the cops came and broke it up! Then all of the drunks still went bombing through the parking lot hollering and changing cars, etc. Not to mention that ALL power went out in the city blocks around us from 2:00am until 5:00am. By that time, the laundrymat downstairs (yes a laundrymat) became "the place to be" with doors banging and machines going. No sleep at all that night!! And yes, the parking is free, but even though we parked in the most well lit, safest spot they had, our car alarm went off at 2:30 in the morning. Whether it was from the vibrations of the train going by, or by a drunk falling against it, I don't know, all I do know is that it was very unnerving. No one offered us any help or apologies or concern. Not to mention no one spoke English. All around, I suggest to all American tourists to avoid the small towns in Quebec Province. Stick to Hotel chains in the large cities!!

Paid less than $40.00 cdn, great room, very clean and well kept, renovated in the last few years, don't let the tavern fool you the rooms are great and very quiet hotel with free parking. Great restaurants and bars nearby.
