We stayed for 2 nights. The window air conditioner did not work properly, i.e. air not cool enough and also left a smell in the room. Also, the fan was so noisy, even on the lowest setting. We left the room at 9:30 am, leaving the hanging card on the doorknob for them to clean the room. When we returned around 1:00 pm, the room wasn't cleaned. We thought they'd do it later in the day. We left again around 2:00 pm and returned around 10:00 pm and the room hadn't been done, so I went to complain and was told the cleaners finish work at 2:00 pm. That doesn't explain why it wasn't done between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm. Also, the rooms are old. The toilet is old and had no lid. The grout around the tub is so thick, I think they just keep adding grout when it gets too dirty. They give you two towels and two facecloths. The towels are not very large and so thin, with no absorbency. They give you only one tiny hotel sized bar of soap. We stayed there last year also, and that time we only had 2 or 3 hangers to hang our clothes, not nearly enough.

Great Value and Clean. One of the best Italian Restaurants is connmected to the motel Il Vicino. Excellent menu with a great wine list. Daily special til 6:30pm. Two can dine with wine for around $100.00 Have been back 3 times and highly recommend it. Motel close to shopping and only 20 minutes from Metro into Montreal.
