Returned to Kinniwabi for our second stay. The place has been being remodeled and upgraded since...2003? Always improving the place. The hot-tub is a great addition. The ambience is wonderful and the hosts are gracious and helpful. Easy to get to right next to Hwy, but tucked back intimately into the pines. Great value.

The view from the Kinniwabi Pines is one of the most magnificent in North America -- maybe the world. The photo they took of my husband and I sitting on the patio sipping wine is a cherished memory. We're surrounded by breathtaking beauty. Everytime I look at my photo it brings me back to the wonderful days I spent there.

So glad we reserved this place! The price was good and the service was over and above anything else we experienced on our trip up north!! My husband, toddler and I had 3 nights in one of the cottages and had an absolutely fabulous stay. The kitchenette was so helpful, the bathroom lovely, the bedroom
extremely comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful if they tried. Returning someday for sure...

I had the opportunity to stay at the Motel during my cross country move to Vancouver. I reserved my accomodation based largely on a positive review I had read on this website. My personal experience did not dissapoint. I enjoyed a very comfortable stay at this clean, quaint and elegant motel. I would recommend this motel to others.

Top Local Tips for Wawa

outdoors This is not a place for people looking for entertainment or a fast pace. The area is for outdoor lovers, winter and summer. You can easily get privacy in magnificent natural surroundings.

Outdoors Type of Town If your visiting, take your pic infront of the Big Goose - that is what the native translation for Wawa is. There is a cool general store in town and the waterfront with the big fountain is nice to see while you overlook Wawa Lake. Not bad spot for a picnic too. The town has true northern charactor - if I saw a moose walking down the middle of the big main street, you would think it was a set for Northern Exposure. The jewel of the area is the land itself, including Lake Superior Provincial Park. You would not be disappointed spending the day in the park itself. In the fall time, its even nicer. It is worth the stop here.
