Wonderful views !

from A TripAdvisor Member
Most things about this hotel were very good - our rooms on 8th floor had fantastic harbour views, rooms very spacious, well appointed, very clean. The location is great for all the harbourside attractions, and for strolling along the lake morning and evening, but a bit remote from other attractions, shopping etc - there is a huge freeway between the harbourfront and the rest of the city. Lovely small roof-top swimming pool, with great view of the CN Tower

The check-in is small and queues build up, so we had to wait quite a while, and the concierge was often not at his station when we wanted advice on how to get places, get a taxi etc. We had the option with continental breakfast but would not advise this, as it was not a very good breakfast for the price - rather stale pastries, no refill offered on coffee - and the second day we went elsewhere !

Great place to stay.

We stayed at the Radisson after booking it on Expedia. After the 8 hour flight from London,we were delighted at what we found when we arrived. It was situated on the water front making it ideal for evening walks and ferry trips to the islands on the lake. The rooms were clean, modern with veiws of Lake Ontario and large enough for two adults and two kids to share. The compimentary breakfast was also a bonus and the kids enjoyed the pool. If you are visiting Toronto for a sporting event it has to be the place to stay, only being a few 100 metres from the Sky Dome and the Air Canada Centre.
Can't really recommend this hotel enough for couples or families visiting Toronto.

What a great view!

from AvidTravelers26
This is a solid choice if you are staying in Toronto - nice hotel but the best part about it is the view which is no doubt echoed in many other reviews - one side faces the majestic CN tower and the other faces Lake Ontario.

I found the room clean but didn't find the blankets to be thick enough and they had no extras in the closets.

They were very prompt with the wake up call, actually they woke me up slightly earlier which is better than slightly later which I have had at other hotels.

Dirty Radisson

from suki49
Such a shame! The location of this hotel was perfect overlooking the harbour and with a roof top swimming pool, BUT I was extremely disappointed with this Radisson hotel, the name usually denotes a certain level of service and cleanliness, but not in this case. Arriving hot and tired after a long flight there was no-one to assist with our luggage. The computers were down so we had a long wait in the lobby where we could have written our name in the dirt on the beautiful marble floor. Eventually we were shown to our harbour view room, which had no view! After more delays finally got a harbour view, but were disgusted to find nail clippings all over the carpet!

Super hotel in great location

Enjoyed 5 nights here in July heat wave. Huge room with lovely views - air conditioning effective and reasonably quiet. Reception staff and concierge were very helpful. Breakfast was included which we hadn't expected and was good in choice and quality (and views!).
Location is wonderful - apart from enjoying the obvious attractions of the waterfront, we used the frequent streetcars and/or subway to get uptown and always felt completely safe. Tickets for public transport across the road from hotel at pharmacy - when changing from streetcar to subway or vice versa, get a transfer ticket to complete journey.
Spiced Thai Cafe opposite hotel is good value for great food and eating/walking along the harbour front in the evening is super for people watching.
Hotel is very good base for enjoying Toronto - always comfortable and relaxing to return to after hard day's sightseeing.

Great location, rooms a bit dated

from clson
We recently spent 4 nights at the Admiral. It was a welcome respite from the oppressive heat in the rest of the city. The roof-top patio pool area had a constant breeze and good bar/snack service. Oddly though, on our first two days the pool was icy cold, while on our third it had been heated to bathtub temperature. Something in the middle would have worked better. We found our room to be on the small side, fairly basic and definitely showing its age, particularly in the bathroom. The location is terrific if you are on vacation, as the harbourfront area is wonderful to explore and there is easy transit service to the rest of the city. One other area for improvement is the service in the restaurant for breakfast. Although it is a help yourself buffet and quite a small restaurant, the staff seemed to be in constant state of chaos on each of the three mornings we ate there, never quite having it under control. This was in contrast to the service at the pool bar, which was quite good. I would stay there again on a summer trip (in winter it would not have the same appeal), but request a better room.

Great Hotel in a Great location

from Addictedtotravel1
We spent 10 nights at this hotel and would definately reccommend it. The location is great, right on the harbour front which makes for lovely evening strolls. Great shopping mall only a couple of minutes walk away. The city centre is about 10 minutes walk - Ecxellent shopping, especially the Eaton Centre.

Our room and bathroom were kept spotless. Beds and sheets were clean. Rooms are large - ours had two double beds and was on the corner so had windows wrapping around the corner, great views of the city and harbour.

I have read other reviews on this site suggesting that the hotel is in a bad area which is scarier than Brooklyn. I have been to Brooklyn and I have to disagree, this hotel is in a great location. I never once felt intimidated like I did in Brooklyn.

There is no shuttle direct from the airport to the hotel, however there is a shuttle service from the airport which costs in the region of $26 return and will drop off and pick up at the Westin Harbour just a short walk up the street.

The restuarant is nice and the food is great however we did not think it was worth the price. The service was somewhat odd in the restuarant with the desert arriving before the main meal!! It gave us a laugh though.

Great Hotel - Great Bargain!

We visited Toronto for a convention, and found this hotel a great place to call home. It has a very friendly atmosphere, and is smaller than many hotels so has a more personal feeling. The rooms were nice, the beds were very comfortable (which I often don't find to be the case!). The pool area was very pretty, with a great view of the lake and all the boating activity, and if you turn around and look up, the CN Tower is perfectly framed between some buildings behind you! There couldn't be a better view of the tower! We had breakfast at the hotel, and it was good. We didn't have dinner there, because there are soooo many restaurants in the city to choose from. It's an easy walk to the convention center, the CN Tower, the stadium, and not too far to King Street, where you can find anything you want in the way of restaurants and entertainment. Again, we were very happy to have stayed at the Radisson Plaza Hotel Admiral. Great people, great location.

Great Hotel

Great hotel downtown Toronto. Nice view of Lake Ontario from the balcony and great view of CN Tower from our room. We got here on Victoria Day and had a great view of fireworks from the balcony. Congire Jef was great as was every other employee we had contact with. Public transportation close by and easy to get most attactions. Only attration that was a pain to get to was the Toronto Zoo took about 2 hours to get there from the hotel. Only complaint was housekeeping didn't replace daily menues for breakfast orders. Will stay here on next trip to Toronto.

A great bargain for downtown Toronto

from Slow-travel
We live about 90 minutes out of Toronto and in winter don't always want to drive home after sporting events. We've stayed at this hotel several times and have always been happy. They DO have a newer wing to the east, and the rooms are much nicer there, so ask for a room on that side. I've had room service meals that were okay. We have also taken four teen boys to the brunch, and although it was not fancy, they were certainly happy with the food quantity and quality. In winter, if you want a faster (and warmer) way to cut through to Front Street, go up near the SkyDome and cut through from Convention Centre South.

CN Tower and Toronto Islands Don't miss either. CN Tower is out of this world but get there early to miss crowds. Take the ferry out to the islands. The ferry terminal is about a fifteen minute walk from the hotel. Face the lake and turn left.

airport shuttle Take the aairport shuttle. it's alot cheaper. Get off/on At Westin down the Dtreet (a much nicer hotel) and cab it to the nearby Radisson.

See the city from above It doesn't matter that you'll have to wait in lines for the elevator up, or to get back down, or for other things in between -- you have to go up the CN Tower for the view.
