I've stayed at the Suites twice so far and plan to book again. It's a great choice for when I'm visiting my boyfriend due to the kitchenette and DVD player in rooms, as well as the proximity of the subway stop, video, grocery and convenience stores.

As a mother of 2 kids travelling into Toronto for a week, this place turned out to be a good choice - simply because of the kitchen facilities. The location is nice too but the friendliness of the staff was such a wonderful surprise. Its an old hotel, but very well maintained and it does have that "heritage property" feel about it.

I have stayed at the Glengrove Suites a few times now and they are definitely a bargain for the business or leisure traveller. I travel regularly for business and enjoy the ease of having a kitchen facility rather than having to go out to eat. The Glengrove was clean, easy to get to and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Top Local Tips for Toronto
Hwy 401 stay off of Hwy 401. There was an accident/spill on a stretch of 401 and it took us 3 hours to get to the airport (normally a 45 minutes trip). And listen to traffic report!
