We stayed at this hotel on Saturday 14th of July, 2007. We arrived at 11.30 pm with a reservation for two nights and checked out four hours later after being woken up and bitten by fleas in our beds. We contacted the reception, where we were told that we could have our money refunded the next day by the manager. When we returned, the manager Mike Dluhy had us waiting for 20 minutes before attending our complaint. Here we were met with distrust and accusations about bringing fleas to the hotel. He mentioned that they’d only had “good customers” at the hotel. To begin with, he told us that we could only have a refund for one night and that we still had to pay for the first night.
After a one hour discussion with more accusations and a rude attitude, he agreed to a full refund.
We can’t recommend a stay at this flea infested hotel to anyone!!

Bit of a shock when we arrived as area is decidedly seedy (veterans hospital and homeless hostel on next street, we walked on by mistake and felt very uncomfortable). Hostel basic but clean, fridge and microwave in room plus old but working air conditioning. Good as a base and included breakfast - just toast and coffee but we bought juice etc and kept in fridge. Internet access, if you can get on! For what we paid, good value. But dont expect the Ritz!
