Do not jeopardize your travel by staying at this Hotel Avoid this hotel like the plague. Trust me on this. I suffered through an extended stay here, and each successive day only presented additional nightmares. Admittedly, they are under construction. So be prepared for no parking. Also, the jackhammers and bulldozers begin each day at 7:30 AM. If you ever need to sleep in: good luck. You will be disappointed. This is not the place for you. I can understand that a hotel needs to upgrade, so at a minimum, you need to put up with that. However, the major construction is taking place with multiple condominium developments surrounding this hotel property, so it will be going on for a long while. This uncaring hotel has no control over the muli-year cacophony that will continue to inconvenience you. Back to the hotel itself. The room service was sorely sub-standard. Housekeeping was shoddy, at best. The rooms are hurting - bubbled paint and peeling wallpaper. I also suffered through a week of hockey player hooligans that the hotel decided to accommodate. Early morning false fire alarms from these criminal kids was bad enough. I had to face my co-workers in pajamas in the lobby at 1AM while the fire department determined that they were all false alarms. Amazingly, the subsequent shouting, howling and drunken brawls on the balconies were ignored by management. The hotel's response to my pleas for help: "we can not control kids." After 2 nights, I threatened to call the police. This finally got hotel management to speak with the hooligans. The hotel's falsely advertised "nature view" out back of the hotel was littered with beer bottles, wine bottles, beer cases, plastic cups, and broken glass. The Crowne Plaza’s property is nothing short of a disaster; similar to a frat house party aftermath. I brought this disgusting beer bottle fiasco to the attention of management. Unbelievably, they never cleaned up this mess from those screaming hockey players during my stay. They are either understaffed, or under-caring. Either way, you as a guest will suffer. So sad. If you are a business traveler, or are vacationing and expect to get some rest at a hotel, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a hotel that caters to a serious traveler’s needs and offers you a comfortable place to stay, this is not the place for you. Stay away. Avoid this hotel
