I STAYED THERE FOR 5 NIGHTS AND JUST LOVED IT. The staff were always there to help you. I will be back in April 2007, AGAIN I thank you.

The Courtyard Marriott is a great, clean, predictable, quiet hotel. I'd highly recommend it for someone visiting Toronto.

The hotel is very clean, in a great location, and has nice staff. They're not nice as walking-down-the-hall-and-they-automatically-say-"hello", but they were all very friendly when it came to asking questions and such. The tour lady, Sue, I think her name was, was splendid... Definitely made the stay easier for my friend and I. Overall it gets an 8 because it was nice, clean, and fun but it wasn't over the top friendly.

Excellent!

An outstanding experience, the service was excellent. We took the fast ferry over from Rochester without a car, and they were happy to hold our bags before and after checkout so we didn't have to lug them around. The location near the College Station subway exit was also a plus. All of the facilities were in good shape and clean. A great value.

Priceline Issues - otherwise well placed

Twice we stayed here and both times were told that, as Priceline customers, we could not expect to get the room requested for us (i.e. non-smoking). Both tmes we were given smoking rooms and received rather surly service from the late evening desk staff when asking for linen for the fold-out bed during our second stay.

Despite this, the hotel services are good (e.g. free laundry facilities for guests - ask for the free boxes of detergent at the front desk) and well located very close to the College subway station (also near the Delta Chelsea hotel, for the airport shuttle bus) and a small mall with an excellent food shop in the basement, as well as numerous coffee shops, etc. nearby.

Great city centre hotel

Beautiful spacious rooms, very friendy and helpful staff. Well situated for good food and shopping. Car parking was a tad expensive, 50 Canadian dollars for 3 days and there is no guarantee of a space. Avoid vallet parking as it is even more expensive and they are not quick to tell how much it costs. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The Gym was quiet and the pool quiet and a reasonabe size with a jacuzzi. Eating at the hotel restaurant wasn't cheap and was average quality. Plenty of choice close by in Toronto where food was of a better quality.

Perfect Stay

I was extremely impressed with this hotel. I normally stick with Starwood hotels but I thought I would try this hotel because the price was attractive. I was completely blown away. Our room was much larger than expected, very clean, and housekeeping was very impressive! The staff were extremely helpful and cleared up a minor checkin problem in seconds. If you are interested in the Gay village this is the best hotel for the location, price and comfort!

Great Hotel, Great Value, Great Location

I have stayed here a few times and it is one of my favourites in Toronto. Close to Subway, close to Yonge Street. Staff is very professional and the rooms are very clean (a little small but that is very minor complaint).

Only bad thing (not bad but inconvenient) was Room Service was only in the afternoon (maybe this has changed.......I was last here December 2003) but with all the choices to places to eat in TO, not really a problem.

Overall, you can't lose with the Courtyard!

Great stay

The Courtyard exceeded my expectations. The rooms were modern, clean and tastefully decorated. We were given a room in the south wing, and it was very quiet. This hotel is in a great location, close to the subway, but very walkable to most attractions. The staff was efficient and courteous. The public rooms were very nice. There was a small pool, but we spent most of our time sightseeing, so I cannot comment on those facilities.

The Courtyard Marriott was a nice surprise for me also. Situated in a very nice and convenient area, very close to a lot of attractions such as the Eaton Centre, the Village, Bloor Yorkville, China Town and Little Italy. The other attractions such as the CN Tower and Skydome are still not far away as the subway line is just outside the hotel itself and are only a few stops away! The front desk personnel were fabulous, and a great reflection of Toronto itself-very multicultural, all very willing to help with anything, and just plain beautiful to see! The hotel itself is very nice, being the old Westbury hotel this is very nice to see. This is definately the greatest Courtyard anywhere, as I have travelled a lot and should know!! I would stay there anytime I go to Toronto.

Excellent budget choice

I was very satisified with my six night stay here in June, 04. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean & still have that "new" feeling. Great shopping and lots of places to eat are within easy walking distance. In fact, this hotel is more centrally located than such deluxe places as the Four Seasons & Park Hyatt. There's also a restaurant (which I did not try) and a small bar/lounge in the hotel. The staff were uniformly pleasant and polite.
This is one on Priceline's customer "favorites" and rightfully so, in my opinion . I hope to return to Toronto soon and will probably stay here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel at the beginning of April as part of a little road trip, and was amazed at how affordable and nice this place really was. I had been checking pricing and availability around the city, and nothing even compared to this great hotel. The location is absolutely wonderful, the pool and workout area is beautiful, and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. I have recommended this hotel to several people, and would definately be my choice to stay the next time I visit Toronto.

I liked the hotel and the people were nice. Plenty of coffee shops next to the hotel. Eaton Center was close by. CN tower and Skydome was a short subway ride. I asked for a room away from the elevators and it does make a differents if your on a nosiy floor. The room I stayed in was small, but I didn't need too much space. The sink and mirror is outside of the bathroom.
I did valet my car for $20 a day (you can take it out anytime with out additional charges), although there is a parking lot next to the hotel that you can use if you don't want to valet.

Top Local Tips for Toronto

Want to keep a low tourist profile? If you hate looking like a tourist (as I do), photocopy a map of the city (I used a guide book one), which you can fold up and keep in your pocket. I actually used one to help somebody from Toronto! I also used the guide book and talked to friends and put locations on the maps so I didn't have to keep taking the book out of my bag

Toronto Islands The hotel is a short walk to the Ferry that takes you over to the Toronto Islands. If you go, make sure you put aside a whole day, as we only went in the afternoon and found that it was not enough time to explore.

Just around the corner Got a GREAT jacket while there. Winners is a designer outlet within a few hundred metres of the hotel. Well worth checking out while you are at the Courtyard Marriott.
