We will definitely return to Bruce Anchor if we visit Tobermory again. We were in room 7 and could see the lake and sunset from the balcony. (it is on the ground level from the back door but upper level on the front because the hotel is built on a slope.)Note, the balcony wraps around the whole building and is shared.(close your curtains for privacy!). The room was spotless and most things were newer. The linens were a bit tired looking, but not too bad. This is not the Hilton after all. Location was pretty good - a less than 5 min stroll to the harbour. Breakfast at Craigies is a must even though the homefries are overcooked. One of the waitress's mother makes their pies and they are very good. We found the fish and chips at the Crowsnest was rather disappointing as was the food at The Fish and Chip Place. Back to the hotel, there is coffee in the reception office and hair dryers, iron/ironing boards are available there too.
