My friends and I have stayed at the Stratford Suburban for several years now and wouldn't think of switching to another hotel for the Theater Festival. Here are the things I like about the Suburban: (1) The owners (Mike and Amanda) are on-site and caring; (2) the location is great--convenient to everything but outside of the main shopping and tourist hub; (3) clean, comfortable rooms; (4) the beautiful trees and flowers on the grounds; and (5) the price! The Stratford Suburban is really a home away from home. For the last several years, my three friends and I made the trip as a girls' weekend. This year, for the first time, my husband and young son joined us. He was impressed by the Motel too, and said that he could understand why we loved it. The Suburban is a great destination for friends traveling together, because the rooms are inexpensive enough that everyone can have his or her own space. It's also great for couples and families, because the rooms are spacious and well equipped (we had to store formula, bottles, and baby food, so the in-room fridge was much appreciated). Some of the girls who travel with me are older, and have some mobility challenges. The rooms are easy to navigate and everything is on one floor. Also, the rooms are just steps from the parking area--a great advantage if you have some trouble getting around. Value, atmosphere, cleanliness, comfort, and convenience! The Stratford has it all. If you couldn't tell, I love the Stratford Suburban, and look forward to going back each year!

We have stayed at this motel many, many times over the years and have always found the experience exceptionally fine. This is a family operated motel now being run by the second generation. Many from our city travel to Stratford for its festival every season and this motel is their motel of choice. One feels "at home" here. There may be more elegant motels, but I doubt that any are managed by warmer, kinder, more gracious people than those at Stratford Suburban Motel. That is why we return year after year.
