Kind, friendly owner operated
We were passing through from Manitoulin Island on our way home. We were sent there by another motel because they were filled. We were greeted by one of the owners and promptly checked in and entered new large beautifully furnished rooms. The salt water pool was a pleasure to swim in. The continental breakfast had a good selection of items. The Guest House Inn is owner operated and because of that there is a sence of pride felt through out the Inn. I am pleased that the other motel was filled, I will definately stay again on my next trip to the area.

Met the people that complained
Even though I have not personally stayed at the motel yet---can not wait. I had the unfortunate luck of meeting up with the Lacrosse team the owner mentioned while I was trying to eat at a local restaurant. They were definitely loud, ignorant and very drunk- kids were loud and they were proud of their behaviour. I have only heard good things about this place- good luck.

Disprespectful Service by Owners
The Guest House Inn was new, had lovely rooms with simple luxuries. Unfortunately, this is not suitable for children. Our family felt scrutinized and uncomfortable during our stay. The owners were more focused on appearances than actual quality of service. It was very over-priced for a family and we truly will never return and definitely tell people about this uncomfortable "house"!
Management Response from Mark Bracken, Owner This person and the group she was with were drunk, disorderly, disrespectfull of us our property and our neighbours who called the police because of the noise outside for the 2 nights they were here. This was a lacrosse team and while on site the children had little or no supervission and my wife and I were forced to keep a watchfull eye.The drunken women and the team manager did express concerns that we watched the group too closely and said they could always get away with a lot more in a bigger hotel. We have only been in the hospitality business 5 months and we thought we were doing the right thing by watching over them and not saying too much. We are only a small intimate family oriented property with a central lobby. They said when they rent a room they have the right to the run of the place. Subsequent to their stay we were informed that statement was incorrect and when they refused to retire to their rooms, we should have called the police back to the property and had them evicted, something we will be very hesitant to do but given the same circumstances we will.

Wonderful People
I actually had stopped there for directions on my first night in Canada. The owners were very helpful & friendly & even called my destination for extra help. My vacation was abrubtly cut short & I stayed there for a night. Wonderful, friendly people. Beautiful area & rooms. I would definitely stay there again. I Highly recommend.
