Not The Most Honest

Booked here for three weeks in July 2010. Checked into our room only to find that it hadnt been updated in probably years. It smelled, the bedspreads and walls were filthy looking and reeked of cigarette smoke. The room looked nothing like the ones in the pictures on their website. As I was told that this was the only room available, I went to the front desk to check out and was promptly shown to another room, which lo and behold, was like a difference between night and day. The manager pleaded with me to stay, but after such dishonesty, we left.
Not a Holiday Inn Express... But at least my wallet is still fat!

So it's not the greatest place in the world to stay, but for $50ish/night it's cheap, and that's exactly what I wanted.
I've stayed there twice so far, both times showing up quite late (11-12PM), and even though it is a family run hotel, they were happy to put me into a room for the night, and remembered me when I came back about a week later.
The bed was comfortable, everything was clean - the bathrooms needed a bit of work, but hey, for $50 it was 1000% more then I had expected.
Keep it up guys, and I will be back next time I am through Peterborough!
