I stayed in the newer building and found my room very clean and comfortable. This hotel lacks amenities, like swimming pool, complimentary breakfast, and internet service. For $80 a night in Ottawa, it's a good deal if you don't mind driving to any attractions.

Stayed here for a couple of nights during some beautiful weather in May. The motel consists of two rows, the older (1930s) side is single-story. The larger rooms are in a two-story building across the parking lot, built around 1960.

My room was comfortable, spacious and clean. It had some character that's rare in cheap motels. Amenities were basic. The HVAC equipment looked old but I didn't use it, so can't comment on it.

The location isn't great (on a strip of car dealerships), but most rooms are far back from the street and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good value for the money if you're looking for no-frills accomodations.

Located on Carling not far from 417, bus service is right at the door and restuarants are nearby. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, staff were polite and friendly and knowledgble. For Ottawa, the rates were very good. Check in time was 1 and check out was 11. We stayed 2 nights and took the city transit downtown for the day. It comes by every 12-14 minutes all day long and goes within 2 blocks of parliment and directly to the Rideau Centre. Much better than taking your car downtown. Air condition worked well. Could have used an extra pillow and TV was a bit far from the bed for its size. There were 2 comfortable chairs in the room and ice down the hall. We would stay there again.
