Parking lot was a death trap

My first impression of the hotel came when I tried to park in the parking garrage. There would have been room in the lot if so many guests had not parket in two spaces. The ramps were steep and winding. When I asked at the desk, I was told to find a spot in the daytime parking garrage it I could. When I asked where to go if it too was full, I was given a shrug. I did get the last spot. I noticed a large empty lot next door that belonged to a close by store. Maybe you could make arrangements for overnight overflow parkin there. Also, as a Choice Club member, I have gotten used to having a paper at my door, and an express checkout receipt under the door on the last night. I received neither. Not my best experience at a Choice hotel, but the location is so good it is hard to pass up.

My stay at the Quality Hotel in Ottawa was nothing out of the ordinary...but at the same time I was comfortable, I had all the things I needed and it was in a great spot. The staff were helpful and approachable and the price was right. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

The hotel is well-placed, near city center and just next to By-town market. It is comfortable, reasonably-priced and the staff are polite. I will certainly stay there the next time I go to Ottawa. The only down side is the restaurant; you could up-grade it to improve the general rating of the hotel.
Close to all points of interest, market area, downtown, restaurants etc.

Top Local Tips for Ottawa
The Byway Market this is a very cute little market, had it been a bit warmer out i'm sure would have been amazing. RIdeau is the pretty much the hub of the area and this was such a cute walking spot. There were restaurants all over and i understand in warmer weather there is fresh fruit, etc to be purchased in this area.
Great breakfast! You gotta check out the Cor's up the street from the hotel.. excellent meals served with lots of fresh fruit!
Lots to do in Ottawa There are lots of things to do in Ottawa but it requires a lot of walking. Find a hotel in close proximity to downtown, pay the extra money if need be to have a decent room. Look for deals with decent hotels that have much better ratings. Listen to the ratings; from what we've experienced they are correct! Ottawa is a wonderful experience and we look forward to visiting again.
