Top Local Tips for Ottawa

Food & drink They do fantastic vegetarian food at the Green Door on Main St, but get there early because they close at 9. And for Italian, Fratellis cannot be beaten. The Manx is a great pub with friendly staff - the food in there looked decent too.

taxi cab we had a cab driver who had picked us up to take us to a couple of pubs down town, and he claimed he didnt know where the place we were going was,, and drove around ..in most cases cab drivers know where things are he was more then likely trying to get extra money outta us.. so just know the street names and surroundings if u plan on taking a cab

Online Bus trip planner Used www.octranspo.com to get from place to place. Great tool for getting around without a rental car. Bus rides are $3.00 canadian and transfers are free. You can buy $3.00 worth of bus tickets for $2.00 at the information booth at the airport.
