Construction nightmares

Weirdly, the Chimo Hotel decided that it was a good idea to do construction at night (we're talking 2 - 3 a.m.), within hearing distance of some of the rooms. They were very accommodating when it came to moving us, but I was surprised that they didn't prevent the problem from occurring to begin with. Why put people in rooms that will hear construction sounds? I must say that I was quite surprised to hear loud construction sounds at 2 in the morning. The rooms themselves were fine, so no complaint there. But the complimentary breakfast was hardly compensation for a night of sleeplessness. I would have expected a free night or something. And they did not help us to move our bags to the new room.

The Chimo Hotel in Ottawa, is always my favourite hotel to stay while my business takes me to Ottawa, It convenient location in the city makes it ideal for me in reference to business locations that I need to visit. The staff have always been polite, courteous and helpful....My only place to stay while in Ottawa.
