At check in the level of service was apparent. The cleanliness of this hotel is one of the cleanest properties I have ever seen. Every thing has been newly renovated from the rooms to the Lobby I thought this place had just opened I was shocked to learn they are the oldest Sheraton In town.

Loved the hotel, especially the views. Incredible view of the falls. Watched the fireworks from our rooms. Would recommend this hotel to friends going to Niagara Falls.

It was great! What a view

We stayed at the Sheraton after checking out of the disappointing Best Western Fallsview down the road. We got a great suite with huge bathroom, and big picture window overlooking the falls, with a lovely fire in the living area. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. All hotels should aspire to be such a high standard as this one. We would highly recommend a stay, and hope to return soon.

What a beautiful hotel. And what a wonderful view. My wife and I stayed there for four nights (10/7 - 10/11/2003) and only wished we could of stayed longer. We had a residence suite on the ninth floor, it had a small kitchenette and dining area and a large bathroom with a jaquzzi and a king size bed in seperate room that had french doors and a window that looked out towards the falls through the living room. You felt like you you there all by yourself, you couldn't hear any of other people in the hotel. The hotel has four elevators so your wait isn't very long. The staff was very friendly and room service was prompt and curtious. The cost of everything from the room to meals is a little pricy but that's not the Sheratons fault, the whole area is like that. If there is one drawback it is the complimentary breakfast they provide in the lounge on the 22nd floor. It could be a lot better. The location is excellant and is adjacent to the table rock house on the Niagara Parkway but due to the hotel sitting up on a hill you may find it hard to get down to the park by foot. To wrap-up my review, this is an excellant hotel and deserves it's **** AAA rating and the awards it has received, my wife and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I reserved the room on a discount hotel reservation site and truely believe I underpaid for the room. My guest room was spacious, (with a lovely fireplace and sitting area) , very clean, supplied us with an inroom ironing board and coffee maker, and had a big room brightening window that I could actually open for fresh air. The staff was attentive, quick, and friendly. Best of all, the hotel upgraded my cityview room for a fallsview room for free. I won't stay anywhere else.

The Sheraton was amazing. We stayed in the Residence Suite on the 28th floor and it was beautiful. The room was absolutely spotless and the view was wonderful. I can't wait to go back. I would definitely spend some more time in Niagara on the Lake it was beautiful.

myself, my wife and our 10-month old stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview for 3 nights over the weekend of Sept.19th-22. The view from our 31st floor executive room was amazing- floor to ceiling window, very clean and comfy bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is THE place to stay if you want a great view and prefer to be away from the tacky, touristy area where the other Sheraton is located. The only criticism that I have would be regarding the food (mediocre and pricey).
Definitely visit Niagara on the Lake while you are in the area. VERY nice place. I would likely stay there next visit and drive to the falls area.

We stayed here for the night on Sept. 20. What a great experience! The rooms are beautiful. the beds are wonderful, too! Stayed in an executive room on the 31st floor with a PERFECT view of the falls. We saw the fireworks over the falls at night and the sunrise the next day... FROM OUR BED! Stay here!

The Best is still the Best

Just spent the weekend at NF and it was excellent. I had the Loft Suite on the Club Floor and the view was breathtaking. King Bed was extremely comfortable and the whirlpool jacuzzi was a treat. The Club Lounge offers free internet and continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. I called at midnight to have one of the pillows switched as it was too flat. They had it up at my room in 15 minutes. Not to mention the free shuttle to get to the casino and nearby area. It was overall a great and enjoyable experience. The only reason it didn't make "Excellent" was because the concierge wasn't as polite and helpful as I thought they would be.

My husband and I stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview during the last weekend in August. Overall, the hotel was modern, clean, and attractive.The hotel literally sits above the horseshoe (Canadian) falls with great views of the Canadian and American falls as well as the broad upper rapids of the Niagara River.We were very pleased to be placed in one of the few rooms with a patio. The odd numbered rooms 401 to 419 on the 4th floor have large semi-private patios. The same 3rd floor rooms open onto a common terrace. Both floors have great views of the falls. All hotel guests have access to the 3rd floor terrace via a door next to the elevators.FYI - The hotel web site describes the fallsview rooms as having a functioning window. From exterior inspection, these windows appeared to measure approximately 6 to 12 square.Our cost - $350 US per night for a deluxe fallsview room with a whirlpool tub. Our room was nicely furnished with higher-quality bed linens. In comparison to 4 and 5 star resort and city hotels we have visited, we felt it was pricey. At the Sheraton, you definitely pay for the view. Had we not been located in a room with a patio, we would have been very disappointed.We found it curious that considering the location next to the falls, so few waterfront hotels in Niagara Falls have balconies.The hotel is not within reasonable nighttime walking distance of the downtown area but offers a free shuttle that runs twice an hour. The shuttle stops at the casino, which is one block from the main tourist district. Dining options are limited to standard chains and a few local establishments. We had a good experience at Mama Mias on Victoria Avenue approximately $55 US for two, including appetizers and drinks.

Splendid room on the 19th floor

First off let me thank my fellow Tripadvisor.com users for helping us decide to stay at this hotel over the past Labor Day weekend (2003), we were not disappointed.

This hotel is well situated with a totally unobstructed view of the Horseshoe and American Falls. A continuing view up the river toward the Peace Bridge is somewhat obstructed by the Marriott, but this is not a major issue. The hotel is about a 200m walk from the Inclined Railway that for $1(Can) will take you down from the elevated Plateau on which the hotel sits to the common Falls area about 75m below.

Our room (deluxe, w/Whirlpool and Bay window) on the 19th floor had an amazing view; I mean really breath taking. The bay window I speak is noted in your booking rate and actually extents beyond the building fascia so you can walk out into it and fell as though you are standing on air above the Falls. The bath area is brilliant with a large two-person whirlpool bath and one wall of the bath area is etched glass over looking the rest of the room and affording a view right out the window from the tub. The room was very clean and the bed was large and very comfortable. It should be noted that just about any Falls side room from the 4th floor up should give you a great view of the Falls as the hotel itself is already elevated as I mentioned above.

The staff was friendly and very thoughtful.

The only reasons I did not rate this hotel at 5 stars was because of my thought that the common areas of the hotel were a bit sub-par being on the ground floor (Bar and Coffee shop). Although the restaurant on the second floor was large and well appointed and afforded a good view during a very, very well stocked breakfast buffet for $14 (Can). The second reason for the reduced score was the paid parking, not the fact that it was paid, at $10 (Can) it was quite reasonable, but rather during our stay the barricades were always up, anyone could have parked there and more to the point anyone could have left with our vehicle.
And finally we were charged $1.50 (Can) to dial a toll free 800 number from our room to use our calling card, it was explained to us that the Sheraton Corporate headquarters had recently imposed this fee; the hotel staff were sympathetic but there it is.

But all and all it was a great stay and we will without a doubt return.

Family Package-Great Value, Great stay

We booked a two night Family Package at the Sheraton Fallsview from Aug 17-19 (Sunday through Tuesday). We opted for the least expensive Fallsview room, and what a deal! As we drove through the tickytack to get to the hotel, I was afraid we had made a mistake even going to Niagara Falls. But when we checked in, the service clerk was lovely and welcoming, and asked if we had seen the falls yet. We said no, and she said, "then your first glance will be from your room". And how~!

We were on the 9th floor and our view was great-(the pictures I took are my screen savers now). I would have to be a poet to describe the awe the falls still inspire-even my kids would just sit by the window and stare. Definitely, definitely the view is worth the extra bucks. I even got up at 3am and looked out.

The Family Package included 2 full breakfast buffets for the 4 of us, and a dinner buffet. Food prices are outrageous in Niagara Falls, so this was probably the biggest savings, esp. since my husband and teenager eat a LOT at a buffet. The desk clerk adjusted the rate for my teenager, because the family package is for children under 12, but it was only $13 extra. Also included in the package was tickets to the Journey behind the Falls, Maid of the Mist , the Whitewater Walk and the Butterfly Conservatory. Total for the room with great view, three meals and all those tickets? $500 American!

The Maid of the Mist is one of the great attractions of the world. You feel the power of the falls. And we did one tickytack attraction-Ripley's Museum, which was actually very entertaining, esp.
the interactive stuff at the end.

I would recommend the hotel to any and everyone, and hope to return someday.

Top Local Tips for Niagara Falls

Winter Visit It was literally freezing in early December. However, we had the appropriate clothing, so we were fine. The great advantage of visiting Niagara Falls at this time of year is that there are no lines and you get an up-close view of everything! The downside is that tourist "attractions" like Maid of the Mist and Under the Falls are closed.

Maid of the mist walk over to the american side over the bridge. Catch maid of the mist from there, much better approach as you walk down alongside the waterfall.

Icey Car!!! If you stay at a Niagara hotel and the mist is travelling towards where you parked your car, be aware that it is likely that when you get outside during winter time your car will be covered with a thick sheet of ice!!! We found that out and we also realised why, in Canada, they have long arm ice scrapers... we definitely needed it :o)
