had a great time

from A TripAdvisor Member
Me and my boyfriend took part in one of the Radisson's getaway packages during the week before Momorial day weekend. I could not believe how beautiful our room was and how much was included in our package for the small price that we payed. We did not have a fallsview room however you were still able to see the falls from our room. We had a wonderful time. I dont know what all these people who are giving the hotel a bad rating are talking about, it might be a little further of a walk then people are used to but the excercise could do us all some good and if you are not able to walk they have a shuttle that runs every half an hour and goes everywhere.

Had a Wonderful Time Here

We Stayed for Two nights, and everything here was top notch. You definately need your walking shoes, but you'll need them at any Hotel if you want to get down to the falls. We had a two night package which included $75.00 food credit, tickets to the IMAX theatre, and tickets to the Walk behind the fals. There was also a pass for the minolta tower, but we chose to get the view from the skylon tower(much higher). We used all of the tickets, and had a wonderful Dinner at Tony Roma's after the food credit, our bill was $12.00 (awesome.). If we ever go back we will definately stay at the Radisson again.

Fantastic Hotel super clean and friendly staff

Hotel was fantastic and super clean. Great location, close to everything. Great value. Could not have asked for more.
Bought the escape package which includes $75 in food vouchers, tickets to Imax theatre and tickets to walk behind the falls and passes to the minolta tower. Our room was large the size of 2 1/2 normal size hotel rooms. We had a large tiled bath with jacuzzi tub, dining area with table and 4 chairs, microwave and small refrigerator, 2 queen beds and a pull out sleeper sofa, reclining chair and coffee table.
View from our room was great, we had a view of the city from one window and a view up the Niagara river from the other.
We would definitely stay here again.

Happy Customers

We stayed at the Radisson for 4 nights and were extremely happy with the View and the Hotel service. The Valet Drivers were always Cheerfull even when busy. I would highly recommend the Radisson. Very Clean!

Planning to go there?

Our disappointment with the Radisson Fallsview remains foremost on our minds. The desk staff were less than friendly (our first clue perhaps) and as we proceeded to our room we hoped for the best. The room however, was lacking both a fridge (a must have given the expense of dining out and the desire to take food back to our room) as well as a safe which we needed and thought we would have. The beds were hard as rocks, giving a bachache each and every day of our stay. The pillows were flat as a board leading to neck pain the entire stay. The toilet ran constantly (the bubbling sound was so annoying). Lastly, although the AC was on the room was dramatically hotter than the hallway leading to it. On the upside, the maids and janitorial staff were very friendly. We would have to conclude that the Radisson was a huge disappointment and would opt for an Econolodge because the atmosphere at the Radisson was similar but cost a boatload more. This hotel is definately not recommended.

Awesome view!

The Fallsview Raddison is a super place to stay when visiting Niagra Falls! Our room was super clean and the view was spectacular. We stayed for a weekend in July 2004 and loved every minute. Only bad thing......waiting on the shuttle service. I would suggest the Raddison to anyone visiting NF.

Radisson Hotel on Fallsview Blvd

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and space of this room. We had 2 queen sized beds and there was plenty of room. The bathroom was also quite roomy for a hotel bathroom. The people at the desk were very professional. The only downside of this hotel was the pool was extremely small. Fridays and the Outback Steakhouse were close. Fridays was too expensive and their menu was limited. To get around, we recommend leaving your vehicle parked at the hotel and buying bus tickets for $5.00 each. They will take you to Clifton Hills and other areas. You can buy these tickets at the hotels.
When dining, we don't recommend spending money to eat at Rainforest Cafe. Just go through and look at the sites, but the meals are way over priced and the food was not good! The best place to eat was Planet Hollywood. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Everything is very expensive in Canada but we wouldn't stay on the American side as it is really getting run down and dirty.
If you're going to Niagara Falls, Canada, we wouldn't go any longer than about 3 days due to cost and things to do. It was a nice long weekend getaway!

Had a great time

We stayed at Radisson June 25th-27th, for our one yr. wedding anniversarry. Hotel itself is nice, room was nice, ok view, (the marriot took most of the fallsview). The room, I have to say was nicely decored, clean sheets, enough towels, we had a package that included breakfast every morning and a bottle of wine when we got there. That was nice and romantic. The pool is pretty small, they have a cool arcade room. Tony Romas was good, outback steak house is located behind the hotel. The hotel is great walking distance to the new casino (2 minutes tops), right across the street from the minolta tower (we ate there one night) very pricy but very romantic and very nice. We had a jacuzzi in our room and that was very nice. The only thing that I didn't like about the the hotel is the valet parking. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get our car back to us. They park the cars like 2 miles away, so if you need something in the car be prepared to wait awhile. I suggest to take all your belongings in the hotel with you. And checking out was easy and convenient. It was just a phone call away, the hectic part was the parking as I mentioned. If it wasn't for that the hotel would of been perfect. I suggest the marriot and embassy suites for the best fallsview. They are beautiful hotels. Also, we did a 4 package deal that included the maid of the mist, journey behind the falls, butterfly conservatory and white water walk. That was very nice, romantic and great for the price. (we paid average $24 US/per person). The weather was pretty chilly even in mid june. Don't forget to take a sweater and long pants for the evening. We had a great time and will go the radisson again if we had to.

Very Satisfied; Great hotel nice and convenient

I would definitely go again. It was clean and close to everything. If you get one of their getaway packages, you will get free passes to Journey Behind the Falls, the Imax Theatre and the Minolta Tower. There are three restaurants on site all with good food. They also give you free access to the hotel shuttle to go where all of the entertainment is, to the casiono or the falls. Also there are countless places to eat within walking distance. The new casino is also walking distance.
Would definitely go back. The only bad thing is the pool is small and you must pay to park per day.

A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!

My husband and I just took our four kids to this hotel for a mini vacation 4/15/05 to the falls. As one review put it, it was not as described. A "suite" is just a term for a room with a sofa bed. It was so hot we had to put on the AC. Our package included a free pizza hut pizza that was great, but they never told us the free breakfast buffet only lasts from 8-10am. We got there at 9:45 and were too late. The Minolta tower was free also with our package and was very nice. We should have stayed at the Marriott accross the street, or even the Brock Plaza because it is within walking distance to everything. You have to pay for parking no matter where you stay, so just stay someplace convenient. We will definately go back again but not here.

Top Local Tips for Niagara Falls

Be sure to check it out. The Niagara Botanical Gardens is right beyond the falls on the right. Beautiful flowers, plants, birds and butterflies and best of all it's free. We really enjoyed walking through it as did our children.

Morning Travel Try to get to as many attractions as early in the day as you can to avoid long lines. We found that we waited longer in the late morning and then in the afternoon.
