Top Local Tips for Niagara Falls
Dining Niagara Falls has many places but all are extremely overpriced. For breakfast, you are better off going to a buffet or eating outside the Falls area. Denny's tab for four (one meal and coffee) was over $80!!! Stay away! Best deal is to find a hotel with free breakfast or credits to nearby restaurants. You'll get a better hotel that includes meals and or attraction passes for slightly more money, but it is worth it!
Casino Shuttle Casino shuttles come by hotels on the hour or half hour. Times vary EACH DAY, so be sure to check with drivers. Also, when waiting to be picked up, don't expect the same bus! Also, to see which shuttle goes where, hotels are often listed on stupidly small sheets of paper taped to doors. With a group of people vying to all see this, it is nearly impossible. We gave up once and just grabbed a taxi.
Park at Skylon We had to take our van out to the falls and surronding area (e.g. Clifton Hill) as the hotel shuttle doesn't allow strollers (due to safety reasons) but we found cheap parking at Skylon for $5 CAD. Comparatively, parking by Table Rock (by the Horseshoe Falls) was $20 CAD.
