I had reservation in this hotel. When I came there, I was told that they don't have pool. It's important for me since I travel with kids, and their web site states that they have pool. I asked for refund, that they tried to do, instead, on my credit card I have 2 charges from them! Had to claim fraud transaction with my credit card. Stuf is friendly, but absolutely helpless.

I stayed last summer in Empress Inn which is now Empress Inn and Suites. I was told by the Manager that it was under new owner, who bought it last March 2008 and under new management. The rooms are much cleaner than it was before when a friend of mine stayed last year. They showed me the rooms that are under renovation and it's quite elegant and clean. They have a new lobby and the driveway was better than before. I will recommend it to everybody who wants to stay close to all the good sights, restaurants and bars. It's a 5 minute walk to Fallsview Casino and Clifton Hill as well as the Falls.

They have a good suites coming this summer and I'm looking forward on coming back again. I love the staffs who are so friendly and knowledgeable of Niagara Falls. I didn't saw the young couple who one the customers said but I guess they're not working there anymore. You should try and staying there and be the judge. You will like it as I did.

I wondered why there was no picture of the hotel on their website. Had I seen the a photo I would have never considered it. I was asked to pay in advance of $241.00 for two nights and cancellation is 5 days in advance. Those were warning signs that I failed to heed. I do not understand the excellent reviews that were given by others on this web site. The air conditioner was noisy and did not work well. There was no soap in the room and only a bath and hand towel. Street noise could be heard through the AC opening as well as people talking in the next room.

My boyfriend stayed at the empress inn for a little while, while we were between apartments and the service there is horrible!! A couple that run the place and the boyfriend is a stoner and is stupid as a brick and the girlfriend, well lets just say her son is 10 and acts like a 3 year old because she took mushrooms and other hallucenogenics through most of her pregnancy. And they over charge from what they are supposed to and keep the extra money. So ask yourself do you really want to stay somewhere run by these kind of people? or give money to them to support their habits?

I stayed here for two evenings this month and I must say my stay was incredible! The most enjoyable and memorable one. The staff is so nice and a young couple run this place.Located near everything you could possibly want to do or see in Niagara Falls. From an executive's point of view, I do have to say I do not agree with the rating from Scott the "you can do any thing you want and spit on the floor" .This guy Scott is probably a crackhead joker waiting for his next fix and got escorted from the property of the motel. A personal experience I had was my room was very clean and comfortable and I slept so well I felt as if I were home. The hotel is dark at night but very quiet and peaceful. Overall, I had a great stay and I am guaranteed to be a future guest. See you soon Empress Inn and keep up the great work!!!

THE shadiest motel around

When one pulls up to this dark motel (most exterior lights are burnt out), the initial feeling is that you are entering one of the haunted houses on the strip. This feeling is futher solidified when the crack heads who are standing in the front of the motel stare you down because you are in a car. When you discuss whether you want to stay at the motel with your friends, the general sentiment is "let's get the hell out of here". The cost, being $52/night/room, will make you think twice about leaving. Who can turn down such a good deal?
This hotel, although one of the most disgusting, outdated, STD-ridden, excrutiatingly putrid motels around, is likely the only hotel where spitting on the floor, breaking things, leaving garbage, etc., will not result in charges to your credit card upon checkout. Therefore, it's a big ol' 8/10 - not for cleanliness or the hospitable employees, but because you can do almost anything you want there and get away with it.
