Terrible Service and Scary Manager

We had a very scary and terrible experience with the Manager of the Inn - he later apoologized - then acted irratically again. . . he was unstable and scary and I would not recommend staying here unless you want to feel unsafe - do not take your children there.

It was the August holiday weekend when all Niagara hotels double their prices - this motel was marginally cheaper than its neighbourhood competitors so we checked in. We aren't fussy people and are usually happy with the basics, a clean bed and bath, and prefer to save money to spend elsewhere. This rather run down motel was reasonably clean, but there was nothing extra - no fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker or hair dryer - and no complimentary breakfast or even a coffee. One little bar of soap, and very small, thin bath towels. We paid $245 (including tax) for two nights and expected better.

Ok, for the location being right next to all the attractons of Niagara Falls, this place has no business being there. the outstide is really nice, but the rooms were crappy. the blankets were dirty, the toilet didn't work, and the heat didn't work either. We wasn't there for an hour before we decided that we would stay there, but the manager refused to give us a refund!!!

It looked fine from outside, but the place left a few things to be desired. Once we were in the room we noticed someone else's garbage in the pails. The room was relatively clean, but there were dirt piles behind doors, and the blankets were NOT clean. When we went to put our food into the fridge we noticed there wasn't one - and when we asked about ice we were told we could buy it at $3 per bag!? Our room was on the ground floor and when we returned from Marineland with the kids we found that the cleaners had opened up the windows - someone could have climbed right in to help themselves to our belongings. There was nothing terrible about the place, but nothing really that good, either, considering you could find much better for a few dollars more.

I as a regular patron just would like to say how much the owners make you feel like you are at home. It is not the fanciest motel but it is clean and you are well taken care of. They try to make your stay as wonderful as the fancy motels

My boyfriend and Ive decided to drive up to Niagara Falls from NYC for a weekend. We didnt know what to expect but falls. Everyone we know advised us to be on the Canadian side of the falls so we did. There were whole lot of small hotels all over and we happened to pull into this one. The owner told us that itll be cheaper to get a room for the whole weekend so we did. We asked to see the room 1st since its not our 1st time staying at a cheap motel. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was roomy with a bright big window. They had a big swimming pool right outside our room which was closed for the season. The owner couples were very friendly and helpful and not to mention how close it was from the falls. Id definitely go back (in summer so, I can swim in that pool
lol..)
Stinky and dirty

Outside the motel, look pretty good. As usual you pay before to see the room but wasn't the first time I was in N.F. so I was sure was like others time. As soon you enter in the room I feel bad smell. The bathroom was dirty (net in the corner and garbage in the basket. Then I try to check the bed. OMG. Spot in the sheet everywhere and stinky pillow.
I go in the reception asking if the 2 room (I was travelling with kids and parents) were ready for new customers but the man in the reception told me was ok. I found some hair in the bed (I mean long hair and pelvic type hair) I was disgusting and ask to change all the sheet from beds. Arrive a dirty and stinky woman and when I try to check if the new sheet were cleaned she was very unpolite...the blanket was spotted ..Something like chocolate or..blood..
I have paid before to see the room 161 CAD and of course wasn't refundable. I leave that stinky room and I move in another hotel.
Please check the CAVALIER MOTEL before accept the room!!! Sorry for my English..Thats no my main language.
