Uncomfortable and bad housekeeping

I have recently stayed in this hotel and was UNIMPRESSED by it. When we walked into the room and finished unloading, we looked around and discovered a beer bottle cap on the floor behind the door. Then in the washroom there was a dirty towel on the floor. The bed felt like it was a piece of plywood with foam wrapped around it and the pillows were not far behind. The restaurant was overpriced but the food was decent.

I found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly; the restaurant was nice, their staff could be more attentive. The hotel as a whole needs updating, but for basic accommodations it is fine. I don't think it is meant to be a lodge type facility where you never leave your room.

No extras at this place--basic room with bed. All appeared clean, but customer service lacked professionalism. Had to wait to check out while desk attendant scolded a new employee about coming in to work late and then trained her on how to clock in. Hallways were hot and stuffy.
