I have been staying here for years with my family when i was younger, not that i have my own family, this is a traditional vacation that keeps us asking "How many weeks til the cottage?", even on the ride home after being there for a week. 5 stars.

Top Local Tips for Dwight

Take a Trip Through the Past By all means, if you've never visited the Muskoka Lakes district before, come to Gravenhurst and take a trip on the RMS Segwun or the Wenonah. You have a choice of different lengths of cruises, and the dinner cruise--into the sunset--is not to be missed. The trips take you past some of the oldest traditional resorts and the biggest summer homes (Millionaire's Row). Or take a trip during September-October for stunning fall colour. I would especially recommend the Segwun, as she is an original, restored, working steamship (the Wenonah is a new diesel-powered ship modelled after the original). The Segwun will soon be retired from her duties after many distinguished years of service. She is the oldest operating steamship, built in 1887. You can charter her or her sister ship for weddings and events. Check it out at www.realmuskoka.com
