My daughter's baseball team was in a tournament in Shelburne. The whole team stayed at the Skyview motel. I was apprehensive about staying at a small-town motel but my fears were quickly dispelled. Clearly this is no 5-star hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had two adjoining rooms with two double beds. Both had a mini fridge.

This is our second stay at this motel, once in May '08 and again this weekend, and both were positive experiences. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and truly make you feel welcome.

Last year I booked a room with Kitchenette The bedroom portion was quite compact but very nice, and the couch/chair coffee table seating area was comfortable and handy. This year I had booked the basic room at the lowest price point. The room also had a flat screen TV and a small kitchenette. The bathroom was spacious and had a roomy shower. The upgrade was a nice surprise and we were asked twice during our stay if we were enjoying our stay . We were very appreciative of the upgrade, and were pleased with the cheerful and solicitous concern for our comfort and satisfaction.

We stayed one night, booked three rooms - room 102 smelled so bad, just like a sewer system, when you book and charge a room for two people, please at least give them two face clothes to wash in the morning. In all three rooms, the TV's didn't work, no instructions on how to work the satellite and the televisions and controllers for the TV/satellite were so old, the writing was worn off - we all were totally confused and had no TV for the entire evening. In room 102 the sheets were dirty - had blood stains on them that were not from us - how does this happen if the beds are changed after each use. The rooms were high priced which we didn't mind, if the facility had been up to par but what a waste of money.

We were very disappointed in the facility and would never recommend it to anyone. Next time we visit our aunt we will find a motel in Shelburne - it is worth the drive into Dundalk to at least have a clean bed!!!
