The room though absolutely reeked of "freshener", was supposed to be non-smoking but what's the ashtray about? "No fridge?" was my son's first comment. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee, and ice only in the office when its open. You have to scoop it out of the drawer in the bottom, the dispenser doesn't work. And oh man, that industrial-strength Glade smell lingered until we checked out in the morning.
Clientele: bikers (not gang though) and regular folks tired of camping in the rain. A lively argument ensued in the next room around 11 p.m. unless the crazy lady was just screaming at herself.
Inadequate soap and towels, but the hot water pressure was excellent. Easily the best thing about the experience.
Next time, I'd pay $10 more for one of the places nearer the highway. Or keep going in any direction. (Truro's raison d'etre is its crossroads location.)
