The Silver Glen Suites appear to be an office building that has been converted into apartments, with at least the upstairs units being used as "suites" or overnight lodging. From what I could tell, only one of the several apartments was being rented to a family below us. The other upstairs "suites" unit even had the door wide openso that from the deck behind our unit (nice view of the valley below) you could see into the unit--nasty in there!
After paying our money, we entered our "suites" to find the carpet ancient and stained. The owner had not opened the windows prior to our arrival in the evening and the rooms were very hot and had an odor. She would not return my phone call that evening requesting fans (the ceiling fans were completely ineffective)--even though when taking our money on arrival she had stressed we should feel free to contact her if we needed anything. Finally, the unit was not clean and thoughtfully prepared. For example, the kitchen, particularly its floor, were dirty and made it such that we did not want to cook there. We felt pretty miserable by the time we left first thing in the morning, even though it cost us $165 plus tax. Not recommended! |
