Many of our 200 high school reunioners stayed here Aug. 23 weekend. We booked 5 nights. What a disaster. 16 young boys' soccer teams with partying chaperones, running the halls at night, elevator races, ice machines emptied all over hallway floors, soccer games in the hallways, even a broken window. Management couldn't or wouldn't do anything but apologize. If Gander intends to market itself as the place to be, something needs to be done about management of this behavior. No wonder the place is looking shabby with sinks cracked. Other hotels offered better rates, what were we thinking? Many were faced with this unruly behavior, including businessmen who were booked and complaining as well. No wonder this hotel is looking shabby with this kind of treatment! Cleaning Staff was overworked and many said it was the worst it has ever been with these soccer groups. Banquet facilities/food was great as was the restaurant.
