Myself and a friend decided to stay there for a weekend. When we arrived, and saw the room our skin crawled. The place was an absolute dive! The carpet was filthy, and the room stank. The toilet was not clean, and there were hairs in the tub. Half the lights in the room did not work, and some of the power outlets had burns on them, indicating a short circuit. We left the motel after about a half an hour to try and find a better place. DO NOT go there, its a dump.
an inexpensive, clean place for roadtrippers to rest their heads

Whether you're just passing through, or decide to stay a few days, this is a great place to rest your head, clean up, and have a bite to eat! It seemed they just renovated our room, so it was exceptionally clean, especially the bathroom! Very nice! The staff were wonderful, and the little restaurant was friendly, cheap, and delicious! Small and simple, you can't be expecting the Hilton, but definitely worth the $60 a night! A small fridge in the room would have been helpful. AND they allow pets - that was so important for us at the time!
This motel should be closed!!

I stayed at this motel on our way through to Nova Scotia. I have stayed in over 20 motels over the last 6 years travelling back and forth to Nova Scotia. This motel is by far the WORST one I have stayed at and I highly recommend that you avoid it at all costs. You will be disgusted at the state of your room. You will be kep awake due to the paper thin walls and then to top it off, awakened by maids trying to get into your room as you sleep. The amenities are minimal but do not work ie: ice, vending machines, etc...
The linens are old, stained and torn and smell dirty. The furniture is old, uncomfortable and also smelly. The bathroom was very dirty and the shower was not even clean, as in there were hairs and mildew. The water temperature is horrible and showerhead was very old and plugged up with soapscum. Needless to say, you're better off sleeping in your car than renting a room at this motel. Atleast you'll be clean in the morning!

I would like to say that your motel was the worst we have ever stayed in. It was dirty, holes in the bedspread. Furniture is so old that it is discusting, I understand people have old furniture but most people take care of it and this motel is not taken care of at all. The lock on the door was not safe at all. We will never stay there or offer any friends the name to stay at.

I stayed at the Fundy Line Motel in Saint John on Thursday February 23-2006, I am not from the city and had to stay overnight for surgery that I had to have on Friday morning.
The room and my stay were the worse!
There were still hairs in the bathtub, the hot water was downright dangerous...it would fluctuate between hot and cold...and when it went hot,it was SCALDING HOT forcing me to jump out of the running shower for safety.
The ice machine did not work nor the vending machines, thus , I had to run to a corner store.
After a very restless sleep because of the noise, I was awaked at 8am to staff trying to walk into my room.(I had the chain across for safety)The staff member retreated and slammed my door.Again the same scenerio at 9am and 10 am even though the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on my door.At 10:30 am the phone rang and it was the front desk asking me when I would be checking out, I replied "Isn't checkout time at 11 am?"
The clerks reply was yes after she hummed and hahhed for a minute.I explained to her that the staff members had been at my room etc...she said she make sure I was not disturbed any further.(the remaining 25 minutes!)She explained that "the girls" wanted to leave and were rushing...and that has what to do with me?
I had surgery scheduled for noon and needed all the rest I could get....I obviously did NOT get that at the Fundy Line Motel..and thus, I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!
