Top Local Tips for Caraquet

The Acadian coastline - a land to be discovered Caraquet is the centre of the Acadian coast culture of today. There is a superb recreation of an Acadian village from the 17th and 18th centuries to stroll about and see history as it was lived. The town of Caraquet has built a walkway along the coastline, between the highway and the coast, providing attractive vistas of coastal living. This is quieter tourism - nostalgic tourism - but with an Acadian flare and truly exceptional hospitality.

A multicultural dining experience Hotel Paulin put together an amazing package which featured a few of the region's unique culinary delights Hotel Paulin put together an amazing package which for us that featured a number of the regions unique culinary delights. The Oyster Museum was a wonderful find which had a shucking demonstration and sampling. The package also included an educational visit to a Fromagerie which also included samples and a cheese basket. For one of our evenings, the inn keepers arranged dinner reservations at a sushi restaurant, which to our pleasure was very good. Some places should not be allowed to make sushi but this restaurant did a very good job. Then of course there were the two 5 course meals that we had at Hotel Paulin with wine paring. The plates were a work of art and a gastronomic paradise. The ambiance and live piano made the dining experience absolutely perfect.

Caraquet Stay at least a couple of nights and have the spa treatments. Dinner at the hotel is a must. Karen is great. She is so upbeat
