Top Local Tips for Whistler
A Walking Paradise 25 miles of (mostly) paved and well-marked trails, esp. the long Valley Trail, invite joggers, walkers, hikers, and any form of wheeled transportation. Not all of the trails are continuous, but in those few cases the locals can give you directions. For people with dogs the trails are a marvelous opportunity to exercise them - mostly off-leash - since the Peak Experience gondola does not allow dogs aboard, so that much of Whistler Mtn. is not dog-friendly (unless one hikes up from Whistler village. At no point are you far from water: a string of lakes, creeks, and a fountain or two can slake Buddy's thirst. Most of the stores in town allow dogs, but the restaurants tend to restrict dog owners to outside dining. There still is some catch-up to do in America's greatest year-round sports center, but in time they'll come around. Still - this is bear country, so mind your manners (and read the Bear Facts)

My wife and I were just looking for a relaxing getaway and boy, did we find it. The spa is awesome, they have massages and body scrubs and tons of treatments I didn't know existed! The hotel itself is located in the main Village but away from any noise from when the bars and clubs let out at 3 am, so we got a great night's sleep every night. I'm definitely going to treat my wife to a spa package for our Anniversary!
