Awesome Place to Stay in Whistler
from BocaRatonBillThis place was beautiful in the Winter and the skiing was awesome (guys trip only), but this place really rocked in the Summer. My entire family had a blast during the Summer. There is so much to do in Whistler that you could spend a month here.
Great Hotel
from Goodstay_10Loved the Delta Whistler Suites!!!
from CosmoKitty24On a separate note if you are looking for a HUGE cheeseburger check out the Splitz Grill in Whistler Village, its a small place but you can get the biggest burger I have ever seen, fries and a coke for $9, a local place, but worth checking out.
Loved this hotel--great value
from traveladdict05The staff was extremely pleasant and professional throughout our stay. When we checked in, I told them I wanted a nice view so I was quickly offered a tour of 2 suites so that I could pick between them. I picked the suite with a balconey overlooking the square because it had the best view of the mountains. It made for a bit of noise at around 2 a.m. each night as for someone reason there was always someone hooting and hollering in the square at that time. Nonetheless I was very happy with my choice because it was so fabulous to sit out on the balconey and have a panoramic view of the mountains while I had my breakfast and read my complimentary newspaper.
Besides that, our suite was very large and well-furnished and very clean and comfortable, with an ensuite washer and dryer and full kitchen. It was one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in--very deserving of a 4 star rating. We got a good deal and only payed $150 per night plus taxes, so we got excellent value for money.
The location of the hotel is very central which is great unless you are looking for something quiet and secluded. Exiting the hotel, you have restaurants and shops at your doorstep, or you can stroll thoughout the village without ever being more than 10 minutes walk from your hotel.
It being summer, the 2 highlights of ur our trip was taking the gondala to the top of Whistler mountain and the Jack Nicklaus golf course. Both activities are pricey but worth every penny.
A few issues
from amberm1Beautiful rooms, very clean, comfortable, excellent staff, great price, okay location, nice pool.
The Bad:
The layout of the rooms. Several rooms share entrances, which amplifies noise between them. We had a toddler in the room next to us who screamed from 10-11 pm and 5-7:30 am 2 nights in a row. Obviously this is our bad luck. But we wouldn't have heard it at all if the hotel was better designed.
The elevator. Building 2, which has about 60% of the rooms, has only one elevator. When it's working, it's slow and flaky. And one day it broke completely for 4 hours. My husband had to carry his 45lb downhill mountain bike up 4 flights of stairs.
The location. If you're there for skiing, this is about as far from the lifts as you can get and still be in the village. It's about a 5 minute walk, which I would hate to do carrying all my skis, boots (or even worse wearing them!), poles, mitts, etc. I asked about a shuttle and was told they do have one in the winter. But I got the impression they thought you'd be better off without it, so how bad is the shuttle? I think when people say they love the location, they love that they don't have to drive to the hill. But I have a different definition of "ski-in".
First class service
from sisterawakePlenty of room
from A TripAdvisor MemberWe ate at Milestones one night, huge portions (to us Brits), and cheap, although I would argue that their Bellini cocktail is not a Bellini how Harry's Bar in Venice would know it!
Parking at the hotel was fairly expensive - their car park was being cleaned at the time of our stay, so they were offering valet parking at no extra charge. Very prompt retrieval.
Would recommend staying here but don't go to Whistler in the week between winter & summer seasons when all the lifts are closed & you can't do any high hiking. Luckily we were only staying for 2 nights during a tour of BC.
Delta: fantastic if you take out the mediocre parts
from A TripAdvisor MemberMy boyfriend and I had a truly romantic time, the only disappointment if you stay there is the Sacha Spa: ordinary treatments by mediocre staff, and nothing special. Everything else was special and romantic: our suite had a fireplace and an incredible view of the mountains. After a long day of skiing, we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. While we had meals outside the hotel (after all, everything in this alpine village is so close), we also enjoyed their restaurants: we had dinner at Hy’s: our meals and dinner were perfect, service too. Even casual snacks in Milestone’s, part of a chain of eateries, was fresh and tasty, if not great cuisine, but perfect for lunch. Actually, everything was great and good value (except the ‘spa’): from the hotel reception to the price (for Whistler anyway) and the restaurant and housekeeping staff who were really professional and helpful. Oh, yes: almost forgot: the skiing was great...what a mountain!

from A TripAdvisor MemberThe town itself was amazing.
nice rooms
from wusthofTop Local Tips for Whistler
Whistler Mountain Club The new Mountain Club restaurant is fantastic. Great food, really cool decor and vibe and to top it off, very reasonably priced. They had a three course tasting menu as part of a dining promotion for $30 CDN when we tried them out. Their signature dish of spareribs and macaroni and cheese was absolutely incredibly...yes this is fine dining, the cheese was Brie. The cheesecake for dessert had Stilton in it...wow, nice bite. The staff and service were also very, very good. There is a large heated patio as well.

Pools and hot tubs are always a wonderful way to end your day of snowboarding so we looked forward to this. But we were disappointed again. The pool was filthy as well as the hot tub and the area surrounding them. We wouldn't even dare to try them. We will never stay here again. There are plenty of wonderful suites in Whistler for the same price or less that are much more pleasant.
