Small rooms & no air con

Hot, small rooms, no air conditioning, lots of noise from the hotel bar after 1 AM, and a "no service" restaurant are among their many amenities. The highlight, however was being locked out of our room on the second night by hotel management because they believed we had only paid for one night - like a landlord would do with a deadbeat tenant who was behind on their rent, holding their possessions hostage for the back rent (we booked and paid for two nights and they quickly verified this when I presented their receipt) And as a little extra bonus, our room had not been cleaned as of 5:30 PM. Oh, and did I mention that when checking-in upon our arrival during the late afternoon we (and the four other guests in line after us) waited 10 minutes for a clerk to show up at the desk.

Great Business Features I didn't mention it in my review because I forgot and now I can't edit it; but I was told they just installed a new internet in their hotel in the past couple of weeks. I hadn't been there for a number of years so I couldn't make any comparrisons to what it was like. But I was told by staff that guests were having a terrible time connecting and staying connected, which is why they spent over 15000 dollars to have a new system put in. When I was there, I had no trouble connecting or staying connected and the speeds were typical of anywhere else I have been. But the one main thing I really liked was the new long distance charges. My experience tells me that Ramada has no equals in this area. They are the first to do this. And it will be a great benefit to everyone, not just the business traveller like me. Finally, one of the staff told me they will be including full hot breakfasts included in the rates early in the new year for some types of rates.
