We were unable to make it to the hotel at the scheduled time because of a weather event. When we called to make modifications in our reservations, the main message we got from your rep was that this would not be possible and that we would still have the privilege of paying for our room, even though we could not stay in it. Given this outcome, our only observation is that the bill seemed a little high for what we got out of it, i.e., the chance to participate in this survey.

Top Local Tips for Victoria

It's a period piece of history To hear people complain about no air conditioning or not enough lighting, etc is to forget what you are entering in to. This is one of the most original period pieces of historical architecture Victoria has to offer. To expect that it will have all the modern fixtures and luxuries of our modern times is to set yourself up for disapointment. This is not the place to experience the modern. Take a trip in time when you vist the Gatsby and you will enjoy it as much or more then we did.

Hatley Castle If you are interested in a real castle tour forget this place. They charge you $15.00 for the 1/2 hour tour and then you get to see almost nothing inside. The castle is used by the Royal Victoria University for their administration and the upper floor is mostly offices. While we were there several of the rooms on the lower floor were being used for conferences. We got to see three rooms on the lower floor and then listen to a lady complain about how they do not have any money to restore the place. The outside is magnificent and the gardens are mediocre with lots of duck poop. You just dont get $15.00 worth.

Bouchart Gardens----a world-class delight Make sure you visit these 55 acres of gardens. You are guaranteed to be breath-taken, even if you have absolutely no botanical interest.
