Staff was well-mannered and warm. Room was much more spacious and well decorated than some of the other hotels... spend about 6 months there while travelling for work, tried different hotels, but didn't find any that matches this one.

The best in town!!

Got my room from priceline for $50. The people at the hotel are all very professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. Their health club is the best ammendity they have on site because it's open 24/7. It has everything, a steam room, a sauna, a pool and a jacuzzi.
Too bad by the time i noticed it was 2am already. The location of the gym was perfect for us to observe the filiming of the new BMW 745 commercial. We didn't have to stand in the cold wind like the other people. Instead, we got to sit by the pool and watched BMW on two wheels!!!

Simply Wonderful Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week for our honeymoon. We couldn't have been happier or better taken care of at any other hotel. We received a room on one of the upper (club) floors facing the harbor. The corner room had floor-to-ceiling windows that covered one whole curved corner wall and gave us excellent views of the seaplanes, the cruise ships, and the north shore and mountains.

The rooms themselves were plush with soft beds and chairs. The marble bathroom is huge with a separate tub and shower. There are bathrobes, a spacious work area, down duvets, and a turn-down service. The room was quite spacious.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, from the "congratulations" note and chocolates on the first night, to the "Welcome home" from the doorman each time we arrived at the hotel in a cab. The fitness/pool area was wonderful as was the jacuzzi and sauna.
The hotel restaurant was a suprising gem that we didn't expect, but was wonderful (the chef does a daily curry special that is to die for).

This hotel is the Pinnacle in Vancouver

We go to Vancouver BC at least four times per year. Until now, we have stayed in different hotels offering the best value. But we have definitely found a home! This is the Avis of hotels in that they are always trying harder. The rooms and facilities are all excellent: the rooms are modest-sized, but very nice (and we had a gorgeous view of the lighted ski slopes of Grouse Mtn.) ; the bathrooms are beautiful and spacious with a separate tub and shower. But what sets the hotel AND restaurant apart is the world-class service. We will be staying here from now on.

should be on your list of things to do in your lifetime!

this hotel is wonderfully designed- with the light wood and all the windows and glass, you never feel in the dark even if it might be raining we stayed on the top floor and the view was awesome- to see the clouds lift over the mountains every morning and all the bathrooms have shower stalls and bath tubs, the pool and hot tub are open 24hours which was handy...the bar was so relaxing and the location was wonderful- the staff was so friendly and the grand stair case in the lobby is so magical- I hope my company books their next meeting at this hotel so I can share my experience with all of my colleagues and friends!!!

Wonderful hotel

I got the Marriott Pinnacle on Priceline for $50/night (USD) last weekend. This is the second time I have stayed here. My room this time was even better than the first time. I had a huge king bed, a cushioned sitting chair with a reading lamp and windows running the full length of the wall facing the water and mountains. The view was great from the 17th floor! The bathroom is big, with a separate shower stall and bathtub, marbled counters and shiny stainelss steel fixtures.
Everything was spotless. This is definitely a 4-star place, with anemities like an iron, umbrella, hair dryer, climate-controlled rooms, safe lock box and a 24-hour pool/spa. I find the beds to be very comfortable. They are firm but not hard. For the most part, the staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgable of any questions you may have relating to Vancouver. The only reason I give it four stars is that the guest room doors are rather loud when they close and latch, and the ice machines are loud as well. There were some young adults in several adjacent rooms at the other end of the hall and they kept going to and from each other's rooms in the early evening and using the ice machine. I kept hearing their doors shutting and ice pouring. It was somewhat bothersome while I read, and had I been in a closer room, I bet I would have been annoyed enough to say something to them or the management. But aside from that, the hotel is very ideal.

Perfect Weekend

from A TripAdvisor Member
Simple yet elegant, lavish but tasteful. The main entry with its soaring ceiling still felt warm. The best part of this place is that on the weekends, the rates are very decent for admirable rooms because it's in the business district. Although it's kind of far from a lot of the tourist attractions, it's a short walk to a large shopping mall and there's a Starbucks right out the front door.

So good!

My wife and I spent our first night on honeymoon in this hotel and it was outstanding!! I asked for an upgrade from a cityview to a harbourview - which the hotel was happy to facilitate (i thought there was to be a small charge of CAD30 for the upgrade). I then explained that we were on honeymoon - the manager at the front desk immediately looked at his system for a better room and moved us, without any upgrade charge, to a large corner room overlooking the harbour.
Brilliant! Then later that evening we went out to explore Vancouver and when we returned, we found a handwritten card and a vase with a single red rose from the front desk expressing their good wishes at our marriage and honeymoon - i thought this was the nicest touch possible.
Really extra brownie points to the hotel. We had a meal in the hotel's restaurant that evening and the food was really top quality - i had a top quality steak and my wife had probably the nicest mild chicken curry either of us have ever tasted. Service in the morning at check-out was fast, polite and the bill was very reasonable and did not include any upgrade charges or room service charges for 2 additional drinks we ordered after dinner (the final lovely touch) Stay here - you will not fail to be impressed

I would definitely stay here again!

The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The location is nice because you can see the water and the beautiful scenery of Vancouver, but it is still close to Robson street and all the nightlife. Vancouver in general is just beautiful. My boyfriend and i rented bikes nearby and rode our bikes all over the city. There are bike trails everywhere!
I asked the hotel for an upgrade because we were staying 5 nights and we were given a beautiful room with a breathtaking view. The jacuzzi is awesome, hot temperature and good bubbles. Also, the spa/pool area is open 24 hours so after a long day and night, you can stop in there for a relaxing soak. If you are looking to be in the middle of the city near the malls and stuff, you shouldn't stay here, because it is a little walk to the middle of the city, about 4 or 5 blocks. The hotel is kind of small, smaller than i thought and the rooms are small also.
The sheet and bedding are a little thin and flimsy. But overall its a beautiful hotel, nicely decorated, and pleasant atmosphere.

Outstanding Hotel and Service

from lazybeachbum
We enjoyed two seperate stays at this hotel in late October and both stays were fantastic. The hotel seems very new. I think it used to be part of the Delta chain but under Marriott management the hotel and staff really shine.

Location: Its very well located in the downtown core and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Its two short blocks from the waterfront, right across the street from the Renaissance, a 5 minute walk east to Canada Place and the Visitor Center and about a 5-10 minute walk south to the best stretch of Robson St. A 15-minute walk along the waterfront gets you to Stanley Park.

Amenities: We were assigned a room on the 31st floor from which we had fabulous views of the downtown skyline and of the waterfront. Our room was very modern and spotlessly clean. Our bathroom had a seperate shower and bath. The electronic safe in the closed was big enough to hold a laptop. Although not huge, the room with one king bed had plenty of space. We had a desk and chair and another easychair which my wife pulled up close to the window to enjoy the view. The hotel has a very nice fitness center (complimentary to guests) which has a workout area, indoor pool, whirlpool, dry and wet sauna, and very nice lockeroom. We used it every day.

Service: The service was top notch. The maid did not miss a thing. The front desk personnel were very curteous and the check-in and check-out process was quick. The fitness facilities and lockeroom were very clean also and there were always fresh towels. We didn't have a car and walked everywhere and the doorman always opened the door for you with a smile and a pleasant greeting.

We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice. The menu was a little pricy and it wasn't very busy when we looked in. The bar, however, was very popular.

Our overall experience with this hotel was probably the best we have had in years. We recommend it highly and would absolutely stay there again when in town.

A very nice place to stay. Close to enough to everything. Outstanding
food at the restaurant (Showcase). Staff friendliness and service was
also great. Someone always greeted you when entering the hotel.
They dont provide enough room info though, either on the website or through reservations. They simply offer the 'city view' or 'water view'. Both are good, but there seem to be different room sizes, ostensibly for the same price. Be sure to ask for one of the middle, larger rooms. the ones on the end are small.

Top Local Tips for Vancouver

If you like running . . Stay at a hotel close to the waterfront from which you are only across the street from a real nice running trail that will take you as far as you want to go.

Vancouver in a Day We spent a wonderful day in May in Vancouver. We wished we had been able to spend two or three days. Museums are wonderful. Lots of history. Beautiful, clean city. Lots of good places to eat for all budgets and all tastes. The Hop-On-Hop-Off bus is a great way to see lots if you only have one day.

Cafe Artigiano - Great Coffee House in Vancouver Next time you're in Vancouver - try the espresso drinks @ Cafe Artigiano. They made excellent espresso drinks and were head and shoulders better than Starbucks, Blenz, and Tim Horton's. I was pleasantly surprised how good their lattes and cappuccinos were. Plus, they have some great baked goods too. The only downside is that they are not open as late as the competition.
